With that said, the history of my ancestors is very different to that of British people. Macedonia and Bulgaria were ruled under the Ottoman Empire for over 500 years...Christianity was banned and Islam was enforced. Women were raped, children were killed. You do realize that almost every society has experienced something similar, right? America is a VERY new country. Not really much to tell. There's some younger broads I know through my niece and cousins who knew her. Obviously I don't hang out with young broads like that, but I've seen pics with them when they were younger teaching her how to sing, do hair etc.

Now that I've listened...I completely wholeheartedly believe this girl is speaking a lot of ignorance. She had a few points where I can see where she might have been going, but her ignorant comments overshadow the few decent points that she does make.

White women learned how to cook with ginger by way of the black female? White women only use salt and pepper to cook. Um. Ginger comes from South Asia...Chinese and Indian people cooked with ginger way before anyone else. Someone will hopefully burst her bubble and let her know this. Europeans use all types of seasonings. I've traveled to many countries and can attest to that.

I'm also pretty sure that this woman has never been outside of the US. If she has even stepped foot in Europe, for example, she will know that a lot of these generalizations aren't true. I wanted to say that perhaps she's just speaking about "American" women...but that's not even the case because she references European women too.

"Back in the day, we all had a really nice shape now women are more out of shape" well, considering the fact that cars didn't exist "back in the day" - women (well, everyone) would walk more...walk a LONG distance....walking = exercise and exercise = staying fit. Food wasn't pumped up with hormones...it was organic and healthier (sure, you can blame this on "white people" because these additives are put in our foods by corporations so that they have a longer shelf life and it doesn't go to waste, hence it saves them money while it compromises our health). Also, women didn't have jobs where they worked for 8-12 hours a day...there was more time for physical activity. Thankfully, we now have rights...the right to vote, the right to work, the right to our own bodies.

It's actually very sad to see people think this way, but to each their own.

It's alright. Some people feel very powerful behind a computer. The problem with some is that they cannot express themselves without getting angry and that to me, is a sign of weakness. "Oh - how can she bring up the Holocaust? the Ottoman rule? women's rights?" because all of that is a reality. I'm not bringing it up to undermine another event in history...I'm pointing out that they are ALL UNIQUE examples of oppression. If someone wants to generalize and say that ALL people (whether they share race, gender, cultural similarities) must think a certain way, then I mostly just feel sorry for them for having such a closed mindset. Now, if the topic is simply about white privilege and whether it exists etc...then there is nothing to argue...because it's a fact. But do all white people or black people share the same characteristics? Nope.
