But it is a lie. You're exaggerating some isolated examples just to fit your own beliefs about black men.

Your not a Black women, so you probably gloss over the anti-black women comments because it doesn't affect you and then pretend it doesn't exist... not every dude is the chris B/ marcuz type a lot are like the Ronnie and Tommy posters just talk out the sides of their mouths , undermining black women whenever the opportunity presents itself...

You're guilty of exactly what you accuse black men of.

Lazy generalizing and apathy. Can't have it both ways :manny:

Nope, deflecting won't work.... a significant and loud minority of guys do this, while the rest of you try to pretend they don't exist..... you can see for yourself how several dudes came in this thread quick on an anti-bw message for not damn reason at all

You're also looking at things from only a North American perspective. If you examine the global world, not only do women not have a voice in some countries, they are sold as children and married off to men three times their age...who repeatedly rape them (rape because at age 10, you cannot possibly give "consent" to sex with someone you're terrified of). I'm not comparing this type of situation to the other, but my point is, oppression is global, period. And, I absolutely will defend the fact that you cannot generalize and say that an entire group of people (whether you categorize by race, religion, culture) is "bad."

:childplease:

What a lazy comment to make. So TRANSATLANTIC SLAVERY is limited to North America? :pachaha:

I don't think you understand the magnitude of what occurred over those 200 years. Again you try to provide other examples but none compare in the least to this.

I've lived in the Middle East, originally from Africa and obviously have seen alot of examples of exploitation, subjugation, etc.

This right there lets me know as a white/european person you can never understand what black people went through.

Your dismissive attitude when it comes to this is no surprise, its actually typical of non black folk. Now that is the truth.
Let's go back to basics and go read Roots by Alex Haley, its only one of the most read titles on planet earth.

I'm not here to change your mind.

Just calling it like I see it. Deal with it.

NO
So we agree that I was referring to the black male posters in that thread... NOT every male poster? Again, were you in that thread?.

And instead of ATTACKING the cac troll, YOU went on a tangent about black men. You know damn well black male posters attacks ALL whites, especially in race threads, and nine times out of ten we usually say the truth about them. Its funny how you omit that and the other other response to spoonz but I guess you only see what YOU want to see so you can have a point, which comes off as pretty weak, but it's so typical online, so I cannot expect more.

.
Second, that IS all I ever see you do.

Again you don't follow my damn posts to make that judgement, so your assessment is invalid.

Try again.

What are you talking about now? I wasn't even referring to Slavery...I was addressing your comment about the "the right to vote" and I said that the oppression of women isn't just about the right to vote...I was pointing out that if you look outside of North America, women have bigger problems than just not being able to vote. Women are subjugated. Here's a recap of the convo - where do I even address slavery in my post? I even said I'm NOT comparing one situation to another...but just pointing out that there are different types of oppression. What exactly are you arguing about? What did I say below that isn't true? Please just take a minute to actually read what people say rather than jump to defensiveness automatically. My point is: DO NOT CATEGORIZE/GENERALIZE. PERIOD.

YOU: The 2 examples you provided are weak. We are talking about 200 years of murder, rape, pillaging, destroying entire bloodlines and you're talking about the fukking right to vote or marry (homos?)

ME: You're also looking at things from only a North American perspective. If you examine the global world, not only do women not have a voice in some countries, they are sold as children and married off to men three times their age...who repeatedly rape them (rape because at age 10, you cannot possibly give "consent" to sex with someone you're terrified of). So you finally get that slavery in no way shape and form should be mentioned in the same sentence as women's right to vote, homosexuals' right to marry.

Glad you finally understand.

:dahell:

Whats your point?

That exempts her from having her opinions challenged?
My point is that she isn't the representative of centuries of actions of some white people anymore than you are representative of murders and rapes carried out by black people in Sierra Leone.

She personally hasn't done any harm to anyone. So you people insisting she bear some guilt is preposterous.

:wtf:

At which point did I insist she bear any guilt?

Reading is mandatory nikka. I challenged the over simplification of slavery and how other forms of oppression CANNOT and will NOT come close to it.

Nice try generalizing :pachaha:

Again YOU mentioned she had a black friend..so? What are you implying?
