Black women are collectively fed up with the stereotypes and their negative image portrayal in the industry…. Are we about to see a shift?

If Noname or Mystic were relevant I think Shade room would post them more often. They'd rather post something that is going to have people complaining but engaging than shyt people would ignore.

Nah, but fr, this facts tho. But for a lot of them, unfortunately, their detest for the opposite black gender supersedes their detest within their own gender, so they suppress how they truly feel; that’s why we truly can’t get no where.
Shouldn't generalize though, especially because what we see from Media... Which isn't black controlled.

It's like me saying the same with about us, when we both know it's not true.

We were at the point of no return decades ago. Whole thing gotta come crashing down (the "thing" being the entertainment industrial complex) so we can build in the rubble.

Here's a (mainstream) bop from back in the day, like night and day between then and now.

This is an underrated post. There are a huge amount of bw that see and hate what's going on but these media outlets and the likes have done a hell of a job making sure that these gender wars continue to get pushed and brainwash em into thinking that despite how ratchet the current bw image is that bm are 10x worse and the real perpetrators.

So whenever you have a breh point out any of the stuff being mentioned in this thread you always get a pushback of "well what about the men!" or they'll blame patriarchy. When in reality this more of a female's world than its ever been.

Yeah I was thirteen sneaking, geeking, drinking Actavis
A couple nikkas play with us
We turned that ass to dust
Don't let them gas you up
Heart cold, no mask or gloves, nikka, uh
Hit yo ass up with some slugs
I run with hustlers and thugs
I got this shyt out the mud, nikka

That's just from a random Key Glock song that I was able to find in seconds.

HOMICIDES IN LOS ANGELES REACH HIGHEST LEVEL IN 15 YEARS DURING 1ST HALF OF 2022: REPORT ~ Homicides in Los Angeles reach highest level in 15 years during 1st half of 2022, new report shows | abc7.com
Homicide rates in nearly all major cities are increasing at astronomical rates since 20 years ago. The majority of the homicides/perpetrators are Black men. Yet, we never hear or see you all denounce modern murder kill rap in fact you idolize it hence your username and profile. Be the change you want to see. Addressing ass shaking while Black men and women are being murdered by the dozens every day, and not saying anything about modern male violent rap is why no one takes your stance seriously.

Ship has sailed honestly. There is no rectifying the situation without heavy handed tactics, the type not possible under our form of government and definitely something you don't want the white majority being in charge of.

But it's not just a black issue, it's an American cultural rot issue. But as with anything, negative impacts on society at large impacts the black community the worst

Women have been calling it out. Essence even published a salty op-ed about the pushback they've received over the Essence festival this year. So the media doesn't want to listen. And Black men should also focus on the music that represents Black men. We have people like Boosie who openly talks about allowing his sons to be sexually abused to become "men", songs about men killing and robbing each other, and not a word is said. It is weird to see men so up in arms about hoodrat women but silent about the destructive music made by men. If brehs who disagree with it can't do anything about it, what are women supposed to do?

I told y'all awhile ago that we hit critical mass on this.
People get tired of anything once saturated with it.
Anybody who said no doesn't interact with normal people on a regular basis
Or more likely, just a dude who has issues with women.

The juxtaposition between Taylor Swift and everything we're seeing from black women artists on the mainstream level is interesting to me. Everything is down tempo, everything is hyper sexual, and artists who once seemed balanced (HER, Janelle Monae, Normani, etc) have jumped on the bandwagon in order to be current. I have no issue with sex in music or videos. My issue is simply...how long can everything literally look and sound the same.

We're prob stuck with this shyt. This is the future without XXX, Ju1ce World, and Pope Smoke...

Oh absolutely. That rebellion in Alabama was a prime example of that. UNFORTUNATELY, that doesn’t negate the riff raffs. And also, as an honest black man, I can admit you have black men who feel the same way those bitter women do. Both can exist at the same time. Two things can both have some merit to it. Conversation can rule a nation.

Speaking of the Alabama uprising, that thread doing numbers on this site…..

:sas2:But take a guess which forum it’s not doing numbers on. And you gotta be logged in at that.

:yeshrug:I’m just saying, gotta point out patterns when you see them.
