No!!

It's just another episode of the "mixed black girl" epidemic.
It's always the darkskin ones who claim mixed.

A lightskin girl will go out of her to claim blackness faster than a darkin chick.

A lot of people don't want to admit this, but from my personal experiences this is mostly true.

IT's because of the media telling them that their light skin and non-black counterparts is superior than dark skin, thus they are literally brainwashed into believing they will have to make up from their lack of attraction from other races by boosting some other irrelevant ethnicity like it's a badge of honor. No other race of women will do this on the scale like a dark skin woman would do.

But people are ignoring the big elephant in the room is the lack of black pride being instilled in these children. They tell their children, on the guise of MLK's philosophy, that color doesn't matter. They don't teach them black first. If you think about it, the c00nery doesn't start with them.

At the beginning of mean streets
I find a lot of west indian people over here in Canada go by the nationalities that have roots in the country. Example: Trinidadians tend to be a mixture of african, spanish, east indian etc and some people describe that as their background. I know a bunch of my step-father's relatives go by that than just saying they're Trini or Jamaican.

I identify by black but when talking about backgrounds I usually tell them I'm Vincentian (I wasn't born there neither was my mom, she was born in England but my grandparents were so I go by that)

It's phenotype, sometimes it'll tell you a lot, sometimes a little. I don't see the problem with her going into what exactly her background is. I just say I'm black because I'm an American and it really don't matter what I have in me because both my parents is black and I look black. I also don't feel it's necessary to go into that, because nationalities are not ethnicities. I can tell from her facial features that she's probably dougla though.

I really wonder if some black people really feel they loose something/ or are hurt when a mixed person acknowledges their mixed heritage... why shouldn't she acknowledge her father's and mother's contribution to her genetic makeup?

Nah it's more of, someone looking completely black and then naming a bunch of nationalities to seem exotic. :ld:

That's the word I was looking for but couldn't get it out. I mean in the end it doesn't really matter because they all see us as black anyway but she looks like a few coolie people from HS and some parts of my family.

That's a different situation though, in this case the chick is clearly mixed, why are they bothered with actual mixed people acknowledge their mixed heritage?

Because she doesn't look like a mixed chick, that's all. If she was a light skinned mixed chick, there wouldn't be any problems. :manny:

It all comes down to skintone really from what I get from this site.

Maybe they see it as, you don't have to claim other nationalities, because black people are not a monolith and we're all diverse.

But if that is what you are? Like if you said your Ethiopian/AA you wouldn't be lying, her parents are two different nationalities ( and races in this case) so why attack her for acknowledging that, its not like she made her parents get together and have a mixed race child

She claiming mixed? :patrice:
@Anothergirl
Ok, so this bytch admits being smutted out by white men and explain the reasons WHY she is being treated like the Hottnetot Venus, but instead of being a intelligent human being and not putting herself in that situation again, she will give them another chance like the little ******c00n she is. White supremecy and self-hatred runs deep.

A black woman is so quick to give up on black men after one or two treat them wrong. I have heard of so many bw who do this, they will have a short leash on black men, moreso then any other men. But I think this bytch loves being smutted out and being used as a sexual object by white men. It;s the only reason why she won't "give up" per se, for white men. She already hates herself, by bringing up irrelevant nationalities and ethnicity. Denying her blackness is the her forte. So you know she aint about shyt. Black men, we shouldn't sweat this bytch. If she ends up with one, which I seriously doubt, then she will expose her self-hate towards the brotha. She is far too gone.
