I feel you but unless and until jury duty pays a reasonable daily rate and/or employers are FORCED to fully compensate this shyt will continue. Even here in "liberal California: employers aren't required to pay for lost wages due to a jury summons. The vast majority of potential jurors are more concerned with paying their bills and keeping their jobs than being a part of granting "justice" to random victims. And rightfully so.I hate that. It's an immature way of thinking that our community has. Sitting on a jury is one of the ways we get justice for our ppl. We're always eager to do things that don't really matter in the grand scheme of things and we don't do the things that could really make a difference.
This isn't just an issue with "our" community BTW. Not wanting to lose wages just to potentially be a juror for a flimsy DUI trial is a fairly universal mentality.
