Guyer got 10 and is serving half and she has been trying to get out early it seems every month.
Case was a classic trick bag:
1. Fort Worth is only about 56% white and you couldn't get one black person on the jury
2. The judge was doing SO MUCH grandstanding and demonizing people who were pro Jefferson starting with Atatiana's nephew
3. They know that evil punk was not even fit to be an officer and still let him on the force
4. That same jury GOT ON CODE as they do with every police killing. They are fine with a manslaughter charge and they never convict for harsher sentencing and the "officer" always gets little to no jailtime.
5. This case was Murder but turned out to be like most police involved shootings.
It's a step in the right direction compared to 10-15yrs ago but there is still so much to go. These DA's know now they have to give indictments for the racist cops BUT the judges are now the head of the snake and you only need one Pro cop person on that jury and every time this will be the result.

Thank you for keeping us updated, brother. As you said, this is better than things were 10 to 15 years ago, but it's still a travesty nonetheless.
And this officer will definitely be using the Guyer playbook with trying to appeal this sentencing, and get early release.
