Yet every other demographic rebounded......yall cannot be this dense :deadmanny:

lol. Going by you and @Piff Perkins logic. There should NOT be ANY economic GAPS among any groups in America yet there are...

Ehhhhh this is not really true. If it were the wealth/standards of living gaps would be closing

The rate of black wealth and the existence of a wealth gap aren't mutually exclusive. :dahell:

Black wealth rises and falls along the same general trends as the rest of America; that doesn't mean that blacks hold similar levels of wealth.

Say I have four apples and you have ten apples. The government comes along and gives everyone three apples. Both our apples have risen at the same rate of three apples, but we're still not equal. I now have seven apples, but now you have 13. :bpohh:

Similarly, if the government came along after that and took five apples from everyone, you'd be good holding eight apples, but now I'm struggling with 2. :to:

The overwhelming majority of black folks can’t start a business. Lack of wealth, capital, etc

Most businesses fail

So no. Black people need better government way more than entrepreneurship
All black problems are not monolithic.

There are blacks who can start businesses. Most college educated blacks make enough money to start a business and should have networked enough to find investors.

There are government programs to help entrepreneurs. Look into them.

A major stumbling block for for blacks still remains a lack of educated black males. This stems from a lot of different areas, but there's still little excuse for the low reading and math proficiency we see among our children -- especially black males.

There are VERY FEW black folks that can start businesses

And no that’s not a major stumbling block it’s a symptom. The block is racism and a lack of loyalty from Democrats

Y’all mutherfukkers really think black people haven’t tried to do all the things y’all suggested :what:

It doesn’t fukking matter

Theoretically, you can make, obviously, a powerful argument that centuries of slavery, Jim Crow, discrimination are the primary cause for all those gaps. That those were wrongs done to the black community as a whole, and black families specifically, and that in order to close that gap, a society has a moral obligation to make a large, aggressive investment, even if it’s not in the form of individual reparations checks, but in the form of a Marshall Plan, in order to close those gaps. It is easy to make that theoretical argument. But as a practical matter, it is hard to think of any society in human history in which a majority population has said that as a consequence of historic wrongs, we are now going to take a big chunk of the nation’s resources over a long period of time to make that right.

Translation: Barry Obama: :mjpls: reparations?
