I at least hear them out. For example, about the Olmecs. I just told dude to research it. I don't really agree, but I'm not as lame as you all, and I realize it's more beneficial if a person ask experts. I never said Buddah was black. I clearly stated that we can't make that claim unless someone had a photograph, which wasn't invented yet. In that thread I mostly disagree with people who downplayed African presence in Ancient India. They are ok with the majority of all students agreeing with the proven to be BS aspects and concepts in history. Look at the average American History Textbook

Alright so I work for a volunteer organization that's all black. We provide tutoring services for elementary through high school students. Been asked to change our name that we've had since the late 70s because "Black" is in the title.

Always getting asked if we're teaching hate. We help out all kids regardless of race but we add an emphasis on black history in addition to their regular classwork. Funny to see little white kids say that they wanna be black men when they grow up because we're smart and good people.

As soon as anyone involved in the school district hears the word 'black', there's a noticeable change in their demeanor. Makes people uncomfortable. I'm always surprised (maybe I shouldn't be) at how even black administrators are turned off by it. I'm not gonna say there is an active effort to deny education of black history, but they sure aren't encouraging of it or receptive to it at all.
