:dwillhuh: But soul food is part of African American culture, you're generalizing all three cultures ( African, African-American, and the Carribeans) into one ( Black). Which is fairly inaccurate. Since Puerto Ricans share cultural similarities to the Carribean diaspora, wouldn't your food picture be more appropriate for a Carribean food thread?:patrice:

No... African Americans arent the sole proprietors of Black.

That is what the coli taught me when I stated that Puerto Ricans aren't Black. So Black is not a culture... It is anyone who shares African DNA...

Therefore Mofonfo, arroz con pollo, and abichuelas are all Black food
