Sounds like there's an issue with black people at your particular law school. There were some cornball black people at mine, but by and large, most were some urban/city black people that have grown up around everything black their whole lives like me. And I definitely know it can be on the law school because I've met some of the weirdest black people ever that went to Wash U law school. Every single one of them was super weird.
See stuff like this is the issue.:snoop:
So a breh that grew up in the burbs or country is auto.atically a 'cornball'?

Come on my dude :comeon:

While college is a great place to get a degree and make yourself more employable, College is also a great place for you to discover yourself.

These different type of black people ( OP words) have probably been isolated their whole lives and now they’re in a place where they’re surrounded by like minded people. Let them cook.

Bro all these words, fam all I'm saying is if you're gonna give all this empathy towards someone who's environment makes them choose a life of degeneracy you need to give the same empathy towards the black person who's enviroment makes them choose a life of c00ning.:yeshrug:
Far enough, but just like degeneracy is only reflective of a minority of the population, it's the same wit c00ning.

This is nothing new, though. This has always been the case for the black community.
Nikkas from Memphis would be surprised that the guy that represents "black memphis" is this guy.

I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT JOKES. THEY WERE TREATED DIFFERENTLY. SOME OF THAT shyt WAS BORDERLINE DEMONIC. THEY HELD MY COUSIN DOWN AND CUT HER HAIR BECAUSE IT WAS LONG AND STRAIGHT. TWICE. THE SECOND TIME THEY DID IT WITH CLIPPERS. BALD...BALD BREH.
who is "they?". And it was the whole black community? Also were there other issue involved? I aint never met no black people that were so pressed about mixed people that they were scalping them FOR BEING MIXED. :stopitslime:

edit: I just don't believe this story, and we can stop talkin about it because its your family and that's personal to you. I'll just stick to the thread topic.

but u know exactly tha type of ppl op is talking about and how tha dominant society will prop them up as if they represent black ppl. That's where I'm coming from.

:francis:

But you quoted me, not once, but twice asking the question "What is the traditional Black experience?"

That whole 'who white folks prop up" had nothing to do with the question I asked.

the black group at my law school had an open conversation about race and these muthafukkas told on themselves

"if grew up in an African household and was told im not american so I took that to mean I'm not black" :mjpls:

"this is the first time in my life I've had mostly black friends and been a part of a black organization" :mjpls:

"I'm biracial and this is the first time white ppl have seen me as black, I thought I was more ambiguous" :mjpls:

"in the black organization in my undergrad I was made fun of for being biracial so I wasnt a part of it" :mjpls:

and these are the future leaders cacs are going to prop up as black leaders

:hhh:

that's why I dont fukk with these corny ass muthafukkas. I'm the only nikka here really from the traditional black experience.

This probably represents most of the coli... :obama:

The fact that you think that was my point is :snoop: Reading comprehension helps sometimes before posting.

OP mentioned how there were black people/biracial black people that talked about this being the first time they've been around other black people this much. And my post was a direct response to that, how that could be a direct result of the school he is at. My law school had cornball black people, but again by and large, most of the black people at my law school didn't grow up in nonblack areas, but actually did grow up in urban/ city areas around many other black people. Nowhere in my post did I mention the suburbs (which even then could still have black people).

Give them time. They'll change.

I had the same issues at Vanderbilt. Just give them time.
