Definitely not the same education, but it is a great stepping stone, if you do well at JC you can transfer into top schools even ivy league. I wish more folks knew this, they would only need 2 more years at the university for a degree. Save tons of money, they can network and get a great job even if they were D students in high school. The key is to do well in JC, and the world is open to you. I got a full ride to a top 50 school: housing, tuition, food, everything coming out of JC. I choose my dream school though, but OP yeah they can be embarrassing, but from my experience mainly because they are trying to prove their blackness, usually by acting out what they seen on TV. They think being ghetto is being black, or hating white people.
At the very least if not JC, go to your local state school. No more paying or owing 50K a year

No one's mad tht "they believe" they're outsiders. We know they're outsiders. We mad bcuz we know these are tha off brand, safe nikkas tht white society will prop up as tha vanguards and representatives of black America, when we know tht besides akin color they don't represent shyt about us.

And those off brand nikkas not knowing any better will go right along with it and will get indignant when u let em know what tha deal is.

This is nothing new, though. This has always been the case for the black community.
Nikkas from Memphis would be surprised that the guy that represents "black memphis" is this guy.

Stop it. U know damn well them nikkas op is talkin about only represent a small fraction of black ppl, and those will be tha ones tha media will string out to speak & act for black ppl.
:stopitslime:

No shyt they represent a small fraction. That proves my point. The Black experience has many fractions, thats why I pointed out that we have 50 different states, with countless different experiences so the question still stands.... "what is the traditional Black experience?"

OP is generalizing like a motherfukker. He created a thread with a title generalizing "Black people in higher education as being embarrising" yet he's using a small fraction to do so and that makes absolutly no sense. U cant generalize Blacks in higher education as a whole being embarrising using the small examples in your wack school.

So you weren't raised amongst nikkas and look at what goes on in lower middle class neighborhoods from the outside?:jbhmm:
I got a mix of both. Lived in the suburbs but did most of my schooling in the city, because my grandmother would watch me afterschool.

If anything it makes my stance more credible because I got to see how predominantly black / hispanic schools operated in lower ses neighborhoods vs higher ses around nonblacks.

I saw the changing demographics while commuting to school every day, but now at an older age, I can internalize my experiences.

What are you talking about? Tha majority of em didn't even grow up around nikkas. They get their opinions of black ppl from white supremacist media which is why they may make :mjpls: remarks every so often. They were "others" to begin with. That's why we make fun of them when they don't realize tha real. Tha real being tht they don't represent us and we don't want or need them to try. But they'll happily drink tha blue koolaid & be a part of tha white man's grand plan and play hnic in mainstream media when deep down they know they ain't got tha pedigree.

DO THEY? YOU GOT STATS? I KNEW PLENTY OF THEM IN SCHOOL. PERSONALLY SEEN IT PLAY OUT. BOTH MY SISTERS ARE LITE BRIGHTS. I GOT A FEW COUSINS WHO ARE ALSO. I SEEN WHAT THEY WENT THROUGH AS KIDS AND I UNDERSTAND WHY THEY ACT THE WAY THEY DO. WE DO THE SAME THING TO THE NERDS AND GET MAD WHEN THEY CAN'T RELATE TO US AS ADULTS WHEN THEY ARE TRYING.

IT BASICALLY GOES LIKE THIS. AS CHILDREN WE PUSH THEM AWAY AND WHITE KIDS LET THEM ROCK. THEY END UP HANGING AROUND THEM. AS CHILDREN, THEY DON'T GET THE WAKE UP CALL OFTEN. WHEN THEY GROW UP AND GET THAT CALL, THEY TRY TO COME AROUND US. THEN WE shyt ON THEM AGAIN. NOW THEY HAVE TO PROVE THEMSELVES. HOW? THEY TRY TO GET ACTIVE IN OUR ISSUES. BUT THEY CAN'T BECAUSE THEY DON'T EXPERIENCE IT THE WAY WE DO. SO WHAT DO WE DO? WE shyt ON THEM AGAIN.

BIRACIALS GET IT REAL BAD. IT'S A SHAME.

So what makes you think the person who's environment turns them into a c00n is different from the person who's environment turns them into a degenerate :jbhmm:

Lmao Idk bruh knew the type of negroes he was going to be around beforehand. Idk I might be in a similar situation but in hard sciences dealing with nuclear reactors but haven't committed to it yet still slanted for IT at the moment. Just get your shyt out of school and don't worry about the next mfers.

BUT IT SHOULDN'T BE THAT WAY. IF WE DIDN'T shyt ON THEM WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG THEY WOULDN'T BE LIKE THAT. THAT'S MY POINT.
this is a bullshyt response. Everybody picks on everybody. Also, this same energy is not presented during them nikka-nerd discussions or when black men talk about dating out. If nikka-nerds complain about being picked on as kids or if bed-bucks talk about sisters not choosing up when they were young people be like "get over that shyt nikka, you was a kid...you should just power through that". Keep that same energy for these people. And like others have said, a lot of these people didn't even grow up around black communities, they'll play like black people were fukking with them the whole time though because we supposed to play the villain all the time.

The problem is these people are handpicked to be the tokens.

Also, somehow both darkskin people and lightskin people both claiming each side fukks with the other side about colorism. Everybody joked on everybody. And when I was growing up :flabbynsick: lightskin/mixed nikkas was automatically black anyway. This new shyt is these motherfukkers trying to use that escape hatch so that can not be "fully" black in America's eyes. Everybody searching for a way out of their blackness. Because they know how America treats black people is some bullshyt. People can miss me with these fake ass horror stories of black people terrorizing them. :dead:When the a lot of these people didn't even grow up around black communities. And maybe nikkas saw the c00n in them and they weren't met with open arms. :sas1:

They have a different set of worries and woes. Bare in mind nothing in life is ever absolute, so there's bound to be some overlap. c00ns exists in lower ses neighborhoods just like degenerates are can be found in the suburbs as well.

Both are mechanisms of survival, perpetuated by a minority of the overall concentration or population.

The c00n seeks white / nonblack acceptance as a way to acclimate.

Meanwhile, the degenerate seek acceptance from peers who are fellow degenerates, but also may resort to intolerable behavior as resultant of many external factors ranging from a lack financial stability, lack of high wage employment, childhood abuse / neglect, limited vision(leads to dropping out of school), inadequate education, food insecurity and a variety of other determinants associated with ses.

But the focus shouldnt be solely on degenerates though, the focus should really be everyday people who struggle with un / underemployment, low wages, rising rent, food deserts, liquor stores, over policing / parking enforcement, payday / predatory loans, limited access to healthcare, transportation, and affordable childcare.

Once again c00ning is a privilege, but the undermining of ethnic communities which creates a self perpetuating complex is systematic and out of control / the reach of many people.

I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT JOKES. THEY WERE TREATED DIFFERENTLY. SOME OF THAT shyt WAS BORDERLINE DEMONIC. THEY HELD MY COUSIN DOWN AND CUT HER HAIR BECAUSE IT WAS LONG AND STRAIGHT. TWICE. THE SECOND TIME THEY DID IT WITH CLIPPERS. BALD...BALD BREH.

Bro all these words, fam all I'm saying is if you're gonna give all this empathy towards someone who's environment makes them choose a life of degeneracy you need to give the same empathy towards the black person who's enviroment makes them choose a life of c00ning.:yeshrug:

I feel u but at tha same time i get where op is coming from even tho he didn't structure his point in tha most appropriate way. I feel as if we're arguing 2 different points. Yes tha black community is multi faceted and tha op was wrong for generalizing black college students but u know exactly tha type of ppl op is talking about and how tha dominant society will prop them up as if they represent black ppl. That's where I'm coming from.
