I don’t necessarily agree although I can see your point. Sometimes kids are put in that situation by their parents, economic status.
parents move to a neighborhood where it’s mostly white people, kid has mostly white classmates. When I grew up there was white Mike in my neighborhood. Pretty much the reserve.
I live in Miami in a good area. My kids schools are diverse. It’s not always as straight forward as op suggests though.
It depends on area is my main thing.
