Some people rather make excuses over building for their children and grandchildren. How you raise kids, and have no assets to pass down ?

"B b b bu but they are soft if you give them a position. They gotta grind and be broke before they can stunt in the club"

Nepotism is the key.

I was 17 working in my father's business giving orders to grown ass 30 year olds.

Its all about building wealth and empowering those close to you with opportunities. Anybody who has a problem with nepotism is a hater. Life is about nepotism. If you care about your kids, you'll practice nepotism and bless them with knowledge as well.

Breh, me too :myman:i was 16 in a good position in my dad's business, no degree or anything yet (since i was still in high school), in charge of people who had already graduated college and had extensive resumes etc. I think some of them under me didn't like it since i was so young, but like you said, that's how the world works. That's what i'm trying to explain to brehs on here. Don't be salty about those who benefit from nepotism, set your own kids up so THEY can too.

Because you can complain about and hate nepotism all you want, but this is what people do, and complaining won't change anything. Complaining about a boss putting their son or nephew in a managerial position is not going to stop this. Ppl are still going to hook up their sons, daughters, nieces etc with good positions. Still going to pass them lump sums of money, houses or businesses etc. You can say it's not "fair", they didn't "earn" it, they don't "deserve" it, they "need to go work at Burger King" etc but it won't stop it. So instead of hating on nepotism, they should practice it themselves with their own kids. Set up something for their own kids and put them on.

Breh! Preach!

Also, I believe thats the best thing you can do for a young child's self esteem as well.... fukk all that black panther shyt... fukk all that representation BULLshyt.... pass down something for your children! Doesnt matter how big or small.

The best way to empower and boost the self esteem of a young black child is to prepare them to one day be in a position of power or ownership. Thats the ultimate power in life.

When I was working for my pops and seeing how he was making his living.... I only had desires to one day become a boss myself. There is no greater feeling of empowerment as a man than to be the king of your own castle. Thats why I bossed up on him and started my own shyt. There is a certain pride that comes with ownership and power.

We wouldn't need media and movies and shyt to make us feel good about ourselves if we were empowered in real life.

But anyway, keep spreading these messages breh, I support it.

Salute!

Idgaf what other people are doing but who doesn't look out for their friends/family first when they can? It's like I come on here and too many cats be on stuff I swear I don't see living life offline

As with anything, there are levels to it.

Example of when it's ok: If I'm a doctor and my son gets an infection, I'm using my connections to get him to the front of the line for the best care.
Example of when it's not ok: I'm a doctor who attended a prestigious medical school. My son wants to be a doctor but doesn't have the grades or the desire; he just a coli poster who heard that doctors get bytches. I use my connections to get him into medical school anyway, possibly filling a spot that could've been used by a student with more passion.

I'm of two minds about nepotism:

It gives a leg up to people who otherwise likely would not have those opportunities. Its doubly helpful when the job can be learned ON the job. You can fukk around and get a start
that other people have to go to school and kiss loads of ass in internships and networking to find.

On the other hand, I have twice lost out on opportunities due to verifiable nepotism, once coming from a black person who could have hired me instead of his friend's daughter.
I was in his orbit, learning everything I could, and way more ready for the position than anyone else since I learned from the guy how to do the shyt. However, his friend inquired
and she was put on.:francis:I eventually moved on, and last I heard she wasn't good at her shyt but she needed a change of pace and got to stick around for a bit, and use that
experience to go onto higher paying shyt.:francis:Meanwhile, I was CLEARLY more ready and lost out.

Nepotism benefits the underqualified way more than the qualified, cause they are usually put into a position without having to do the grunt work to make them actually good at the shyt.
We all worked for incompetent bosses/supervisors who were hand-picked because they were related in some way to a person in power. Do we as black people have enough of a
foothold in ANY industry to hire what may not be the best candidate for positions? If we talking cashiers and floor cleaners, sure. But if you wanna look at why a lot of businesses fail,
nepotism is right in there. Turning coffee boys into Regional managers and shyt.:mjlol:

The examples some of you use for Nepotism :jbhmm:
Working in your parents business and getting opportunities to grow from family or friends is not Nepotism in my book. As long as your qualified and willing to put your all into it, there's nothing wrong with putting and getting put on.

Haiti is real Nepotism. You put your family and friends into positions of power even though they are unqualified and crooked. Those people demand you pay them on the side or else the permit you need will not get granted, the items you ordered will get lost, etc. The people who are qualified and good-natured will never get an opportunity to succeed.

Everybody got a different concept of Nepotism, I guess. :pachaha:

Thats basically the gist of it. Nobody blinks an eye at you putting on folks and potentially taking them under your wing to do bigger things.
Turning your 17 year old kid into a manager who ends up pissing up and pushing out your best talent that happens to work under them:francis:

This the dumb shyt that causes scandals and kills businesses everyday. Chronyism is a detriment, while glorified apprenticeship (hiring fam for positions not too above their ability) should be
damn near mandatory.

The bolded isn't nepotism, imo.

Nepotism is how a cop can be doing 60 over the speed limit, get pulled over, and two cops end up having a good laugh about, "Wow man you were really hauling ass! :gladbron:"

Nepotism is bad, and nepotism on a large scale fukks up corporations, countries, and alliances.

Giving your children and family the best chance possible at success is not the same thing as nepotism.

And for the record, Black people are perfectly familiar w/ nepotism, I see posters constantly talk about the “Boule,” and numerous other groups from the PH Freemasons, to the Divine 9, to the Links all practice a Black-centered nepotism that upholds upper-middle and upper-class Black communities.
