Nepotism does not necessarily mean the familial hiree is any less qualified than the other applicants. So you gonna give your fam a position over a more qualified black person? B b but black excellence

Nepotism is the key.
I was 17 working in my father's business giving orders to grown ass 30 year olds.
Its all about building wealth and empowering those close to you with opportunities. Anybody who has a problem with nepotism is a hater. Life is about nepotism. If you care about your kids, you'll practice nepotism and bless them with knowledge as well.
you can complain about and hate nepotism all you want, but this is what people do, and complaining won't change anything. Complaining about a boss putting their son or nephew in a managerial position is not going to stop this. Ppl are still going to hook up their sons, daughters, nieces etc with good positions. Still going to pass them lump sums of money, houses or businesses etc. You can say it's not "fair", they didn't "earn" it, they don't "deserve" it, they "need to go work at Burger King" etc but it won't stop it. So instead of hating on nepotism, they should practice it themselves with their own kids. Set up something for their own kids and put them on.
Idgaf what other people are doing but who doesn't look out for their friends/family first when they can? It's like I come on here and too many cats be on stuff I swear I don't see living life offline
Thats basically the gist of it. Nobody blinks an eye at you putting on folks and potentially taking them under your wing to do bigger things. The examples some of you use for Nepotism
Working in your parents business and getting opportunities to grow from family or friends is not Nepotism in my book. As long as your qualified and willing to put your all into it, there's nothing wrong with putting and getting put on.
Haiti is real Nepotism. You put your family and friends into positions of power even though they are unqualified and crooked. Those people demand you pay them on the side or else the permit you need will not get granted, the items you ordered will get lost, etc. The people who are qualified and good-natured will never get an opportunity to succeed.
Everybody got a different concept of Nepotism, I guess.

I agree it isn't.The bolded isn't nepotism, imo.
As with anything, there are levels to it.
Example of when it's ok: If I'm a doctor and my son gets an infection, I'm using my connections to get him to the front of the line for the best care.
Example of when it's not ok: I'm a doctor who attended a prestigious medical school. My son wants to be a doctor but doesn't have the grades or the desire; he just a coli poster who heard that doctors get bytches. I use my connections to get him into medical school anyway, possibly filling a spot that could've been used by a student with more passion.
My scenario stated that situation, which is in most cases how it is.Nepotism does not necessarily mean the familial hiree is any less qualified than the other applicants.
