many Jamaican/carribean foods are run by Chinese and Indians...I used to go tomainshaws when it was black. I go to another place and that place is black owned. The best patty place that I have been to on eglinton west and oakwood are owned by Jamaican Chinese. There is a black lady behind the counter that works as a cashier but still. Yet the black Jamaican community is huge. Blacks just lack business sense...I really don't know how we can fix it.

yup. Actually that's the place that my coworker brought me to. I had to tell her the history of Chinese Jamaicans cause she didn't know or cared.

He's right, Asians are opportunists...plenty of Japanese food places are actually Korean. Chinese..they sell anything to anybody...

Blacks need to start neutral business and as they establish themselves more in business then thy can create more black oriented business. Blacks laugh at convenience/gas stations that Indians or Chinese own but at least they start their children early on entrepreneurship and not waiting for someone else to give you a job.

I believe that many blacks stay away from the service industry due to the legacy of slavery and being forced to servitude. However, in this modern age the money is in the serving industry if you own it. If we want monopoly then we also need to get into manufacturing and distribution.

Our biggest caveat is manufacturing, the second biggest continent in the world where all blacks originate from has not a big manufacturing base we are subjected to the Chinese/western (lessening) monopoly.

Anyway, but getting into serving industry and owning franchises or businesses would definitely be the first step.
