Rappers arent releasing full length albums I can listen to all the way through without skipping a track.

The last album I bough that I could do that with was TM 103(With a couple tracks replaced with ones that were supposed to be on the able)

If you releasing a cd with 15 plus tracks you can have half the cd ok.... I need my cd's to jam all the way through and be cohesive.

Thats the problem today... cd's arent cohesive

itunes killed hip-hop

labels today focus on releasing 1-4 "singles" that they will push...

there no emphasis on makin a complete album...

a single song that sells 1MILI.. is equal to 100k in album sales...

in the eyes of the industry its pointless to focus on 15songs... when 3 or 4 will bring in the same amount of $$

I'll be honest I might not alway buy the cd but i always support, sometimes i may get a digital copy or go to the show when they in NY or buy a shirt or poster from their official website.

I try to support with $$ when I can.

Album sales are not the only way to support an artist.

Club dates
Homecomings
Concerts

or just plain ole word of mouth to get something hot on the radio. Blacks may not have the population size to effect album sales directly, but we do have an INDIRECT effect on the CACs with more disposable income who yearn to be "down"".

But in general no one group buys music the way they used to. Its just too easy to steal music these days

i agree that its a generation thing but it's definitely more than background noise.

imo music is more important now than it ever has been.

:childplease:

music today is like fast food. no one gives a fukk about quality anymore, its all a bunch of mass produced garbage with no real content thats ingested and quickly shytted out. then the next day, another 'mcdonalds' artist/rapper comes out and releases some more mass produced garbage which people will listen to for a week and then it's forgotten about. muthafukkas flooding the internet with mixtapes/tracks/features/etc. and shyts only hot for a day to a week.
