i agree that its a generation thing but it's definitely more than background noise.
imo music is more important now than it ever has been.

True, we have a disproportionate amount of buying power compared to our share of the population, but if every adult black person bought Gucci's next CD, he'd barely go diamond.
this is what I think is the real problem in rap music right here: there is no difference between the studio album and the mixtape ... and if there is its because the studio album is actually worse. This is now the new normal.
50 puts out album quality mixtapes every few months, when that album drops I'm expecting
