I can respect getting away from religion... organized. As far as Khalid, he basically started a religion focused around himself. He was about action, but so was the NOI, the majority of his so called actions he learn in the NOI.. he never denied this, he just wanted to be a lil more radical. The members of the NOI have always been bout sh1t. MAny of the people we look to as revolutionary or about action have come from the NOI, so even they weren't about sh1t they catalyzed a movement of brothers who have contributed to our knowledge of self and action more so than any other group. We gonna ignore the impact of X, No we wont.. so we can't ignore the fact that the NOI (just like they did with countless #'s of brothers) turned X from a demonic community destroyer to a righteousness motivated to help his community. I never mentioned Islam for a reason.. let not pretend that NOI is purely a religious organization.
Plus lets not forget the million man march.. or Farrakhan. there are lil things that they do every day that you just don't know about. It's always easier to hate.

Idk if I believe he was an informant or not, but he had business cards and informant information on him.. with his name on it. If you don't think so.. at least you can recognize that what he truly did was take the message, make it urban (which was good) but then make it demonic (which was bad).. with all the member still allowed to sell drugs, use drugs, gamble, cheat on women, etc etc... that sh1t was still destructive. How does it help to have the same thugs, but them just knowing some lessons? You still end up with them same thugs doing the same sh1t.. but talking about Allah afterwards.
Oh yea, and Islam or religion isn't all thats holding us back.. other culture can have religion and proper as a whole, so y can't we. We invented religion and influenced every religion on Earth. Back when I was teens through early 20's I was more bout it than I am now.. damn near willing to do whatever.. religion obviously didn't hold me back because prior to that time-frame, I had none.

I don't say this stuff to win any popularity contests breh. These are just my personal beliefs and i don't know how you can look over the course of human history and not agree with my assessment, to some degree, no matter how controversial it sounds. White people have dominated and controlled black ppl thru violence but also better ways of thinking to outmaneuver us.
I'm not the most righteous person on Earth, and I don't expect any leaders to be, what I do expect is a sincere effort to better the circumstances of black people. So you can be a cheat, an addict, whatever, if you can handle the business and put together effective strategies none of that stuff matters in the big picture.
I've met members of NOI, who were good outstanding citizens and others who are straight gangsta, but I don't look at gangstas or thugs has being bad people off GP.
I also know someone, won't use names, who use to be a bodyguard in several black power movements, and the NOI are extremely gangsta when it comes to harming other blacks.
The guy Seti who does all those debates as had shoots outs with the police and the Nation of Islam, I've heard this for somebody who use to ride with him on some G shyt. so you have to understand that NOI is without a doubt a gangsta organization.
I shouldn't have said I had no respect for them, don't get it twisted, I'd ride with them against crackers any day of the week.

NOI they make a lot of money, their organization is impressive in that manor, what I have a problem with is not the religious rhetoric or they profited from membership, because every movement needs funds. My problem is ain't none of this resulting in relief of the people among us who need it the most.
They reason why I'm anti-religion is not because I'm athiest, because I'm not one.
When I drive through the hood the newest and most kept buildings I see are Liquor Stores, Churches, and Funeral Homes. So these are the business making the most money in the black community.
People are depressed, life is hard, so they drink to escape, the church prays upon the despair the people are suffering with hymns, and talks of Heaven, how everything will be alright after your die, while the pastor is in heaven right now, thanks to his followers. The funeral homes stay busy, because nikkaz is out drink, high and ready to die.
I bring up Kemet a lot, and try to bring it to nikkaz attention, because this where it all began not just for us, but for civilized life. This is the blueprint for black people to become a nation of ourselves.
We can win playing other people's games. We think different, we are different, we must live different.
We place are women down beneath is like the whites, like the arabs, like the asians, but this is not what our great black nation did. The mans job was secure the seat of the woman, in Kemet the black woman was the one who judge, and laid the law she was the only one fit.
We are scientific people my nikka, marriages were not just arranged, they use to take the blood of the boy and girl, and put together to see how it would react, and that's how they decided if the two were make a good match or not.

You have some points but I disagree with others.
Yeah, we have to get away from religion, and raise the babies but everything else you said can be argued.
For example you said raise the babies on true history of black people. Honestly I gotta ask what exactly is the true history of black people if what the NOI teach isn't right? Does our history begin with slavery? Does it begin with kemet? Where does it begin? The NOI teaches the black man is god and we have no beginning nor ending. I don't know if you've read 'Message to the black man' or looked/studied their teachings but what they teach IS black history. To say that black people have a beginning is to say that there is either
1. A belief in an mystery god being the origin or
2. No god exists, or atheism(the biggest religion out there.)
Now I'm not gonna sit here and act like the NOI have done no wrong, no group is holy, but their teachings are not incorrect. You gotta understand that the honorable elijah muhammad received these teachings in the 1930s, and our people was stuck on christianity so the knowledge he got from WD Fard, or Master Fard Muhammad had to be manifested in a similar way the bible, quran and other holy scripture are told the the people by the minsters, imams etc. At first NOI members only thought WD Fard was god but when Farrakhan came in, people began to understand what Elijah was saying. Nowadays a lot of NOI members say that all black men are gods. This goes for all of his other teachings as well.
Groups that deal with egypt history as black history is ok for sparking the mind but that's only a small percent of black history. Africa is not the home of black people, it's the planet. It's like the 'holy books'. These are only small bits of god's wisdom. You can't rope and bound his wisdom in a book, so we gotta stop acting like we should only study these books. The 1st step into coming into existence is to be known. Knowledge being associated with the #1 , if you multiply 1 with any number you get that number, showing that knowledge can be found everywhere.
Now taking off from there. We do need to get away from the european jesus, but the black jesus if understood should not be left out of lives imo. Why? Because I am Jesus, I'm also Moses and all these prophets. Jesus was resurrected on the 3rd day, so when jesus(god in christianity)is properly understood, he will save your life, meaning that when you know and understand the laws of the universe(mathematics), YOU will be the god or jesus who saves self. The change you want to see happen starts and ends with self.

theres always going to be negative people in the world, this cannot be avoided. the only solution to our current condition is to improve our life based on kos, teach others who want to be taught and move on. change does not happen overnight though so this will be an ongoing process.

I spit on Islam and Christianity not because of the history of conquest in Africa, but because it has not giving back to our community, even though our community has allowed both organizations to thrive amongst us in these times we live in. I'm not only talking economically, but psychologically.
As far as African history, I mean all of it, of course it doesn't begin or end with Kemet. There's many things we need to learn about ourselves and our history across the world. There are many different African cultures we need to appreciate, down to the tribes people who still live today, and have been living their way of life since CREATION, they things they know about the Earth have to be astounding. But we look down on them because of their appearance, and while whites go over there to study them.
But as far as Nation Building, Kemet is the blue print, its what modern civilization is based on. The ten commandments were taking from the Negative Confessions, which are there many more than ten, but it will take more to delve into. I have much to learn myself, all I can do is encourage my other brothers to become dedicated to this knowledge because it is out there, and we learn something new everyday.
If a formidable black nation is to rise, we need to build upon the foundation are ancestors left for us, its all there to restore us to power. I plan on going to Kemet sometime next year

thats where we disagree. kemet fell for a reason, I have no desire to try and resurrect that culture. we were civilized way before kemet. a lot of people think ancient modern civilization is an "upgrade", but that's not the reality. These ancient modern civilizations only occurred the way they did because it was needed for that time period. I could say kemet is equally civilized to america, and the groups before kemet were equally civilized to kemet.
