And 99% of us dont believe that the Black Panther comic book movie will create a rally cry for black empowerment.

Its a movie.

Its a comic book character turned movie.

and not based on real life.

Thats it, thats all.
You’re confusing me. You’re talking about symbolism. I’m not.

Will black panther create a rally cry for black empowerment? Of course not

Will black panther help circulate money through the BC and create opportunity? of course it will.

you do know that generational wealth is literally a person creating wealth and then... passing it down to the next generation right you confused dumbasses. Like it’s not something that just happens, actions have to be taken for it to happen.

Same with generational opportunity .

Ryan Coogler was poor and homeless, likely because his parents were poor, (like most people who are poor)

Through hard work, he is no longer poor, which means his children will not be poor, which is generational wealth. There are other means of gen. Wealth and opportunity besides creating businesses which is the go to argument for faux militants. Entrepreneurship is one way to create wealth, but not the only way. Fact is most people, regardless of race DO NOT OWN BUSINESSES.

His working for marvel and his other films means that he passes down (one day) a black director to also get the same opportunities he did.

The same way Denzel Washington and Will Smith paved a way for Michael B Jordan who eats directly off of work that Sidney Poitier put in, in old Hollywood, as did Washington and Will Smith.

Is that so hard to understand? It has to be created.

If you were poor, and you are not now, your children will not be (for their childhood)

Create wealth and opportunity by bettering your situation. Don’t complain, just work

The cast of BP, are all creating future opportunity for blacks And I’m sure for their families

I know I am gonna eat off this. My series is almost guaranteed a deal now.

So going to see a movie is asking Black actors to save us. You are no different than the OP with the hyperbole
It’s not asking black actors to “save” us. You’re a grown ass man, not a child.

Those black actors are members of the BC, it’s that simple.

I don’t even understand how this is so hard to get.

In a very specialized workforce that’s hard for any and everyone to get into no matter how talented they are, yeah you got a point.
a) “Film” is more than actors, directors and cameras. The credits are there for a reason. It takes thousands, to make a film.

B) if all black people have to eat off something FOr it to be “pro black” then nothing is pro black.

There is NOTHING that the entire community will eat off of.

I want to see the Black Panther like everyone else but this whole "We gots to come together" "If you hate this you ain't pro black." yadda yadda yadda shows me how FULL of shyt most of you nikkas is.

The same people that got rich off Spiderman and all those Avengers movies are the same one's getting rich off this, lets not act like the Hood is changing cuz of this movie.

I'm seeing nikkas taking donations to bring kids in Raleigh to watch Black Panther in the same theaters that were showing Hidden Colors and the 1804 movie a few months back and nobody made an extra effort to take anyone to that.

Half the cast of Black Panther is pawgin.

We more excited to see white folks take on Africa then to celebrate our real African History. This is all the proof you need to back up what Tariq says "Are victories are symbolic victories." We getting dressed up turning shyt to an unofficial holiday like a Star Wars premiere, Which is cool, I like the fan aspect but ya'll lose me when you turn this to a political statement.

It's a white-owned vehicle that employs black people whose combined efforts result in a product that makes white people money. fukkouttahere with this being "pro-black." We're so broke as a people, so splintered and defeated under the growing weight of white supremacy, that we've surrendered all reason to celebrate a Hollywood property that does nothing to aid us in the struggle we're in.

No, it doesn’t aid ALL all of us. The black community is a collection of people. Which means people have to eat, in order for the community to eat. It’s such an elementary concept that you guys are overcomplicating.

It doesn’t aid you. Or me.

It aides that entire cast though, who are members of the BC.

Ok, I was going in the wrong lane.

What money will be circulated in the BC other than people going to buy BP themed garb from black businesses?

We as a bc create 1.5 trillion in spending, and Black Panther is supposed to change that?

Im sorry my dude but a comic book movie is not going to change blacks spending habits or brand loyalty.

No I didn't, if I did you would've highlighted in bold where I did it.
You said symbolism. In reality, neither Hidden Colors or Black Panther are going to make serious change.

But they both improve the situations of blacks people.

Tariq and Coogler are one in the same, at the end of the day.

There’s no difference in taking kids to see BP and HC.
