Perhaps but i could see the "twist" coming from a mile away.

Both the twist, and how the main character would end up were easy to figure out within the first couple of minutes. It was still good, in an "Outer Limits" kind of way.

Check out 'Inside No.9'. It's a similar concept of different stories with a twist each episode all centered around No.9 whether it be a house number, restaurant, office etc. quite often with a dark twist. 3rd series just finished this week. More comedic at times due to it being written by the team behind 'The League Of Gentlemen' & 'Psychoville'.
