Black women don't care what Black men want. The reason they perm their hair and wear weaves is to try and compete with white women for white men; they've been losing that battle for decades.

Just date Black women no darker than Ciara's complexion. From my experience lighter Black women and mixed chicks for the most part are more confident and aren't as dependent on weaves and perms.

You're pretty dumb and insecure.

The only thing about the natural thing is that some sisters got to remember to wash and reapply them natural oils and products cause they get rancid quicker than the non natural stuff especially in the summer. To many times I encounter natural sisters with a rancid aroma.
It's good to wash the hair like everyday, but NOT with shampoo. Just letting the water hit the scalp, and conditioner isn't always a necessity, but water is(which is why I will never straighten again). If he/she has an odor, tell them to use more water, or if it's really strong apple cider vinegar. But it needs to get wet everyday, and be free

I mean when you have moms not making them appreciate their hair what do you expect?

Hell not just women, how many of you had parents that would've let yall goto an important function with a grown out afro? :usure:

I dont know too many women who will leave the house without they weave. When yoy been rocking then since like elementary school im sure it's hard as hell to love your natural hair. Especially for them women who can't grow them huge fro's.

I cant really clown on black women who wear weaves..when they been told they whole lives, "uh-uh you goin out like that?:usure: you need a perm" and shyt like that. :francis:

The bigger question is why do the women who rock they natural hair tend to be the ones who only date white men.:sas2:

Also folks on here talking curly hair and showing pictures of girls with natural hair that isn't curly and how you need a certain type of hair for it to be curly are just talking.

As a man with a wife and two daughters that are natural getting the curly hair look is easy as fukk. Some of these folks that go natural get frustrated when it grows longer and don't follow the proper techniques to maintain the hair.

I got sister in-laws that were bytching that they couldn't get the curly hair look like my wife and then saying stupid shyt like see she got good hair. I am like heffas what are you talking about y'all got the same momma and daddy. You got the same hair....stop being lazy and moisterize your hair and twist it at night. You have course and very kinky hair (which contrary to popular belief is the best type of hair to grow long because it is the strongest.....since black folks hair is the most delicate type of hair in the world). Stop using picks to comb it (which breaks the hair), detangle by hand and use oil to seal the edges.

My sister in-laws followed the proces that I explained to them and now their hair has curls and similar length as my wife's.

Oh and this talk that black men don't approach sistas with natural hair is a myth also. Even my wife stated that she gets hit on by brothas even more since she has been natural. Brothas like natural hair.....I can't count how many married couples I know where the wife went natural because her black husband asked her to.

I went to the NSBE convention this past March and I would say at least 75% of the sistas there were natural from light skin to dark skin to every color in between. You had sistas with hair down their back and curly just like the mya picture (many of these sistas were dark skin so folks can't say they were mixed). Them natural sistas at NSBE had to damn near beat the brothas away with sticks how hard they were trying to hollar.

Anyway as a man who has worked on my wife's hair from the transition state until now, taking care of natural hair is all about taking time and effort and no short cuts. Even money isn't an issue because for years all I used on my wife's hair was water, organic natural coconut oil, apple cider vinegar for washing and avocado oil for hot oil treatment. It was just all about staying consistant with washing (being smart to section the hair and wash one section at a time), moisterizing, detangling by hand and twisting at night.

Like I tell many sistas who are starting the natural hair process if me a damn man can figure this shyt out I know you as a women should have no problem.

I have relaxed hair that looks natural and I don't put a weave on it.
Does that mean I'm out of the loop for having natural hair?
