Black men how do we convince black women to love their natural hair?

well, i stand by my point. a lot of girls are headed in this situation before they're even attracted to the opposite sex. its something the mother does out of convenience and self hate.

but i'll concede that its still up to the men to fix this situation. i just dont see how its possible when BW are independently raising the majority, and the boys will grow up seeing mommy with fake hair. y'all naturalize the concept to us at a young age, then blame us for it as adults; its sinister.

Tbh I've run into a lot of blk men who think a blk woman's natural is unattractive. You internet unicorn mofos aren't in the majority. So let's be real here. Although it is getting better because people are herd creatures who only like what others like. But tbh you really can't blame blk men for throwing shade on their own DNA b/c whiteness and femininity have been utterly linked in every part of the Western culture we've grown up in. Thus, any attributes that diverge from white beauty standards are considered masculine or ugly to the masses.

However, despite their brainwashing, blk men aren't responsible for a blk woman's decision to love herself. Much like anything else in our lives, we have to do this for ourselves. And that's kinda what has been happening. Blk chicks have literally been shaving their heads and starting the fukk over knowing that quite a few of our own men were going to play us to the side.

Google blk natural hair journeys...millions of hits. Search it on youtube. The train isn't stopping.
But I really don't expect a lot of blk men to all of a sudden start getting the urge to play on the kinks. And although it's natural for women to emulate what we see men desiring, you have to be urself, even if that self isn't good enough for some.

Locs is the most practical hair for kinky haired women in this society unless you are joining the military. to their racist standards for hair.

Most African tribes left their hair in one style until marriage or adulthood except for special occasions. Hairstyles held purpose aand told about your status and identity. All this versatile styling is just people trying to keep up with white folks and celebrities. Its vain, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. If you can do it, do you. But when you frequently change up your hairstyle, you sacrifice length and risk breakage.

I feel like it won't have a tremendous effect. Wore my natural hair for most of my life,I didn't wear weave until I got to college.& Now that I'm in the weave world,I don't see myself going back.


Based on the politics that come with natural hair in this country, yes I consider it a journey,
