That's sad if true. Disenfranchise his own for some box. Yet we say brehettes are emotional. It's alright to get some office trim but you don't let that effect business. Kudos to Maria for putting her cousins and nem on. They probably learned how to mimic the herbs special recipe using some Goya product and will setup their own shop. For instance, I worked at a certain store when I was 18 years old. My manager was an Afro Caribbean woman. She hated African Americans specifically African American men. Now you live in Miami and understand that with mix of different black cultures you really can't tell all the time who is from where. She did not want to hire African American men specifically. Like if an African American man turned in an application she would throw it away. I remember a black man calling in to see if we are hiring. I told him to give me his information so that I could relay it to the manager. He told me that he has a lot of media experience, and worked for different net works and has sales experience. We were looking for a key holder/assistant manager at the time. When she came back that night I told her about him and she rolled her eyes but took the paper. When I went back into the backroom to take out the office trash I saw his information in the trash. The new person that she hired was a black woman. So I called in anonymously to our hotline to report the stuff that I saw her do, but nothing happened. She's been working for the company for 18+ years. I ended quitting because she and I got into a big argument, and I found a better job somewhere else. I later asked a former coworker if she's still there and they said she was transferred to a different store location at Miami beach.

I would NEVER live in Miami. Sometimes I go on business but I hate that place.

unfortunately this may be the prevailing mentality that caused the owner to go in a different direction with his workforce.
