This is exaclty it.

A lot of these, "I'm just pointing out statisitics" type chicks only care about Black men en masse - if it helps them get a husband - and he has to be the right type of man.

The funniest thing to me about the Howard losing men debate, is that Black women have always outnumbered Black Men in higher education. And those same AKAs is not giving any type of love to Jamal in Engineering, because he doesn't have any swag etc....

As Prof TH Johnson has been telling us - they're creating their own situation over there.

*shrugs*
Yeah I didn’t notice the gap at my school but there were nikka nerd incels that got no play.

I remember my boy Chuck Chillout getting roasted in the cafeteria by women for going to chicks rooms to study and when nikkas pointed out that that was gonna get him no where with chicks he finally admitted that he was looking for a Homie Lover Friend

Gotta have math to go to most trade schools.

People play down how technicial Trade schools are.

a lot of community colleges are low key trade schools.

:manny: i dont see a problem with that, folks are'nt stupid they can cut it if they apply themselves...

Remember that lie about black women being the most educated group when they were actually just the most enrolled? Do we understand that black women make less money on average than black men but all we see is them telling us to get on their level? Do we not see that they revel in the negative things said about us?

Well the problem is Black boys are ignored by teachers from the beginning not even being allowed to dream of any higher education. Dockworkers make a grip. Trainworkers get the best retirement plans in the country, Being a commericial sailor makes tons of bread and no one mentions these fields to Black Men

So traditional college or Trade school someone is gonna have to point these Brothers toward careers that pay.

while you’re bullshytting part of the The Hunt is On!!! speech was the implication that going to an HBCU would get you Black Bunz If went to Pitt there would have been a plethora of flat butts.

Granted if hoes threw p*ssy I would catch it but I prefer Black Bunz so I went to an HBCU.

I think this is the current inflection point we’re at. With the current administration’s policies, rising cost of tuition and middling wages we gotta continue to encourage young people to seek other professions and means of continuing education.

I work on the Project Management side in construction (environmental abatement).

I went to a HBCU for undergrad and PWI for grad school and my degrees are unrelated to construction. The thing about trades are some are DIFFICULT and taxing physically. There are people making $50/hr (union) on the labor side of the specific construction trade I work in.

But it’s hard to recruit and retain young people. Average age of people in the field is around 40

Maybe you went to a better school than I did. I graduated from an alternative high school for drop outs.

But growing up in the shadow of Howard being on the campus several times I never even thought of going to any school after high school ( shyt I almost dropped out) I never even heard of any other HBCU's

not one person told me shyt about trade school. I know I called the Union to try to get into an apprenticeship a couple of times couldn’t get through so I said fukk it.

Unless you got fam in the trades you’re not getting pointed in that direction all the people I knew who were Plumbers where shade tree handymen crackheads so I didn’t even think that welders made money like that.

Myself and my own.
Part of this is demographics due to smaller populations in the new generation but the only groups increasing in college numbers are Hispanics and Asians due to demographics.

As for the hispanic portion, I wonder how things like "HSI - Hispanic Serving institution" played a part in this. Universities literally having a literal federally and private-backed financial incentive to bring in more hispanic people.

Hispanic-Serving Institution - Wikipedia

Hispanic-Serving Institutions Division - Home Page

There's a whole private sector network for this as well.

What seems to be happening at HBCUs though is that Black women are pivoting harder to HBCUs since their numbers there have only fallen 13% vs 21% for all college Black women. Black mens' attendance at HBCUs fell 25% over the same period closely matching their fall in the college population in general. So part of the big gender gap at HBCUs is that Black men seem to be less keen to switch to HBCUs from PWIs. for whatever reason.

I have noticed that black women are more sensitive to racist microaggressions. For black men, they keep getting gaslit by damn near everyone and are literally told they are being oversensitive when it comes to racism. I've even seen it on this board, when the whole stop asian hate thing was going on. Dudes were literally told by some on here to ignore asians being racist or something to that effect.

Its scary a post like this has 11k likes

I keep saying that this is why, given enough time, there will be no black community. Black women will be a race unto their own and black men will be a race unto their own and neither will be able to make much in the way of advancement since neither will have the numbers/politically nor the money to make other groups do anything. This is probably what the gameplan is but still. Race being viewed more as a social construct will further fuel this.

Black men should be going into trade schools screw college...:manny: it is what it is... we need plumbers and electricians and mechanics too...

The funny part is, they already do. I think nearly half of all trade schools have black men, surpassed only by white men but and not by much. I think I posted about that on this board somewhere.

Yes it’s hard work you’re working in the cold and the heat and lets be honest mexicans are working for cheap.

I literally know a guy with a flooring company holmes got a shyt ton of guatamalans working for him. he only uses americans when getting government contracts where he has to hire americans.

He’s the white boy I posted about last night dealing with the Black girl.

The younger kids in my fam are going to HBCUs. I did NOT enjoy my PWI as much as I would’ve enjoyed an HBCU. Having all/majority Black admins and professors vs the racist whites I encountered would’ve made a world of difference as an 18-22YO.

When I think back to the movie Black Panther….

My experience at A&T felt like the closest thing to what it probably feels to live in Wakanda.

those years of my life, the only time I really saw white folks was when I left the yard.

I never realized how much that impacted my life till later and of course I appreciate it and all my experiences. Probably the most safe I’ve felt and most normal.. in fairness though. I never really been too a white school since earlier elementar.

My middle schools were black and my HS was predominantly black to the fact that with Goth was in style…. We had like only 4 goth people.

Barring I don’t get injured, I dont think I wouldve thrived and survived in a PWI as a pure academic student. I would’ve needed to be a STUDENT ATHLETE
