"I heard they had put Jesus in the cell with the drag queens" :deadmanny:
:russ:

Boonie: What about my mom money :dahell:

Jesus: See I wanted to talk to you about that Boon, see, although we don't have your mom's money, we do have the love of God and our integrity breh it don't get no better than that :blessed:

Seems like something that just happened while filming and they just rolled with it.

It wasn't. Earlier in the episode when they're driving off to pick up the weed, one of them tells Jesus that his robe is stuck in the door before they pull off. It'll probably be a running joke.

it was how his homies reacted when they saw him pullin up breh, not the robe joke itself :comeon: do you work on set????

:patrice: have you ever been called overcritical???

:upsetfavre:I chuckled breh but you saying you was in tears making it seem like the joke was the funniest thing when really there was no joke in the entire episode to get all worked up about. And when it comes to a show like this coming off of a great show like The Boondocks, we should all be overcritical. I mean Aaron abandoned the 4th season of Boondocks to make this show. And right now, it doesn't seem like it was worth it.

It was funny but I think a big problem is that I have no idea what they're trying to convey with the Black Jesus character, because he seems to be all over the place. Is he a lazy free loader, the genuine article, a parody of the holier than thou attitude of religious blacks, or what? Because it seems to try and do all these things without any of it gelling. For the show to work, his character needs to be more clearly defined. So far the funniest moments were when they portrayed him as the real deal (a benevolent samaritan) in modern situations with awareness of who he is (like the "I swear to pops" and "Heaven's nah!" lines).

Best part of the show was Charlie Murphy s h i t t i n g on their barbecue. First he splashed the grill then tossed all the ribs on the floor.

"Ants like ribs too."

"Those is BLACK ants. They work hard all day."

"Watch ya feet."

I hope he has a prominent role in the series.

i thought he was the holier than thou hypocrite that ALOT of people are irl, only spouting off "the good word" when it's convenient

For the show to work, his character needs to be more clearly defined.

he comes off as a regular dude :manny: it'd be wack if he was static and only did 1 thing

glad some of yall aren't writing this shyt
