Here are a few reads that I got my start with is:
- The Destruction of Black Civilization - Chancellor Williams
- Precolonial Black Africa - Cheikh Anta Diop
- Nile Valley Contributions to Civilization, from Anthony T. Browder.
- African Origin of Civilization - Cheikh Anta Diop
- Wonderful Ethiopians of the Ancient Cushyte Empire - Drusilla Dunjee Houston
- Germania - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
- Ice Man Inheritance - Michael Bradley
- Nature Knows No Color-Line - J.A. Rogers
- The Falsification of Afrikan Consciousness - Amos Wilson
- The Negro In Our History - Carter G Woodson
- Christopher Columbus and the Afrikan Holocaust - John Henrik Clarke
- New Dimensions in African History - John Henrik Clarke
- Civilization or Barbarism - Cheikh Anta Diop
- Cultural Genocide in the Black and African Studies Curriculum - Yosef A.A. ben-Jochannan (AKA Dr. Ben)
- Introduction to African Civilizations - John G. Jackson
- Ethiopia and Origin of Civilization - John G. Jackson
- Stolen Legacy - George GM James
- Africa and Africans as Seen by Classical Writers - William Leo Hansberry
There are a ton more, but those are a start.
I would also recommend:
- The ISIS Papers - Frances Cress Welsing.
There are many critics of her work, but I think she was on to something, as the key component to White Aggression against Non-Whites, clearly has a basis in fears of genetic annihilation/replacement.
Also Unseco has a "General History Of Africa" series, most of the PDFs are online for free.
- Black Inventors, Crafting Over 200 Years of Success - Keith C. Holmes, Roslyn Morrison (This one has good reviews, I haven't read it yet though)
