So you don't see the difference between having four black women (of various complexions) as the love interests in a movie vs both the love interests being mixed?

Thing is they're not "of various complexions" like you said (at least not the ones you mentioned), they are all light skinned. If I see someone whose skin is light, I usually think they are mixed. So no, I don't see the difference. They're all mixed if you ask me.

I agree 110%. 100s of black women go missing everyday but no one cares, black women are killed by police and harassed sexually but no one cares. Trayvon, micheal, and eric had 1000s march for their justice. Black women barely have 100s. This is why I support black feminism,

Even if the black community suddenly had a powerful patriachy, I don't think that would help black women at all and it would probably worsen the situation for black women. The fact is, black men will continue to idolise non black women as a result of centuries of ingrained cac centric beauty standards that would take many decades to dismantle in the black diaspora. In fact im sure if black mens status improved, it would just mean black men would further pursue other non black women . For example most rich and influential problack black men end up marrying white or mixed race women. Cultural change is what's needed in the black diaspora.

No, if there was a powerful patriachy, things would improve but we can't deny the fact that black men have been the greatest supporter of the white centric beauty standards for decades and it would take decades to dismantle this ingrained culture amongst black men. No other race upholds diluted women as the pinnacle of beauty whilst demonising those with purer roots. Even in black centric media, we see a fair representation of black men, from light skin to dark skin yet for women this isn't the case. A lot of black men need to face the fact that there are aspects of black male culture which is anti dark skin black women. I'm not saying black men are responsible for creating this culture as white supremacy is to blame, but we are responsible for continually upholding this culture into the 21st century. We should try to change this culture and represent all hues for women before we have a powerful black patriachy or else we"ll continue to use the tools of white supremacy against our own mothers and daughters.

that's because there is no patriarchy. if black men were collectively building towards a stronger community, they would be inclined to pick partners that look more like themselves. now i could be wrong, but i doubt it. if nikkas wake up and realize this is a chase for resources against other groups of men; i dont believe dudes would be so haste to go out and simp for other races.
