He said the neighborhood was all black, black families work, their was black Taylors, black own stores, the kids was disciplined by other parents in the neighborhood, the schools held parent conference meetings in the evening when both parents was available, both parents in the black home was at 79% up until 1960.. teen pregnancy was look down on and other points..

This is a myth, other than being more conservative on certain social issues, and very religious, the average Black American is much farther left than the average American. Universal healthcare, taxing wall street speculation and expanding social security, are most popular among Black voters and poll highly even among non-voters.

If you remove social issues and Jesus, black people are liberal…

I don’t understand the hate for this video. I speak with elders who had the same experience. He speaking of Philadelphia, so that very well may have been his experience during segregation. There were neighborhoods that held his experience and there were neighborhoods that lack a lot, wanted to integrate and were given hell. Conservative of old were different from today. I'm sure OP knows that American conservatism as a whole has been totally hijacked and its now used to protect the status quo of White America and caters to White fragility/grievances.

That said, I have nothing against Black people who are traditional. I grew up in the Black church myself. But it's highly misleading to lump traditional Black men with the racist Right Wingers who most of our criticism is towards.

When people criticize conservatism, nobody is talking about the man in the video or the Black Baptist preacher who doesn't condone gay marriage. We're specifically talking about the modern right wing movement which is rooted in blatant racism and openly seeks to strip everybody but straight White men of their civil rights and freedom.

Also, I need to point this out too. Having morals is not conservative and that's one of the biggest cons that the GOP pulled. Not drinking/smoking doesn't automatically make someone conservative. Being Christian doesn't automatically make someone conservative. Getting married doesn't automatically make someone conservative. Not being a degenerate in general doesn't automatically make someone conservative. Even owning a gun doesn't automatically make someone conservative. That's one of the biggest lies that the GOP loves to peddle and even some brehs on here fall for it.

These Bob Woodson type of folks don't realize that being poor has actual health and life outcomes.

There are Black Conservatives like Malcolm X, Farrakhan, Marcus Garvey (and none of these dudes are perfect by any means, all have bad stories to tell) etc - and then there are Black Conservatives like Thomas Sowell, Larry Elder, Candace Owens. - The former are very conscious of their race, of their heritage, and what they've lost as a result.

Watch the other video posted in here. What makes you think that Bob Woodson doesn't realize being poor has actual health and life outcomes? His organization was centered around low income black people he is well aware of the effects of poverty. He has done more to combat poverty than everyone here combined tenfold. Also, he himself identified himself as a Garveyite in that video. Sowell also doesn't believe in equality or that everything is equal.

The policies that Black people vote for and their local representatives, are usually farther left than just liberal, show me a white moderate liberal city that would elect the equivalent of Chokwe Lumumba in Jackson, Mississippi.

I don't think you know what the words you used here really mean, you're conflating civil liberties with civil rights, civil rights are a liberal position.
