It's kind of a struggle to make movies in America that portray black people or Africans in an accurate/positive light.
Film studios just don't want to fund them.
I thought I read someplace that Malcolm X almost didn't even get made because Spike Lee had trouble securing financing. Didn't Oprah and other celebrities come through for him? I'm sure I could google this...
This is what it all comes down to. fukk everything and everybody. When we get our minds right about our paper it will be a WRAP. U look at any powerful minority group, MONEY is the root of their power and influence in the western world.what the fukk does stepping up mean, financially speaking? All these requests for the "Upliftment of XYZ" or to "Keep It Real" are catchphrases that have gotten Black people active enough to give Twitter and FB an uptick in traffic and THAT'S ALL!
Control your dollar and you will not have to BEG XYZ to make you look better than they THINK that you are.
Danny gloverYou dudes are so fukking gullible. As if nick cannon would actually make a movie about African kingdoms.
Do you even think nick cannon knows anything ancient Zimbabwe or the ashanti kingdoms?
Another black celebrity who talks about big plans yet nothing will come out of it
shut ya sambo, jiggaboo ass upBtw as an African, I know more about African kingdoms than most of you on this forum. And im not talking those silly afrocentrics whose only knowledge of ancient africa is egypt.
