Once upon a time, weaves were merely a "fashion trend" for black women to try something different and be stylish... but that quickly evolved into something that's become almost mandatory for black women to feel good about themselves.

A lot of black men like me never really noticed/cared about this issue before, but the crazy weave wearing has become so ubiquitous now that it's hard not to say "hold up, what's really going on here?" ...and start to feel disturbed by it.

I remember seeing a pic in a thread on here a while back about some black cheerleaders at a white southern college... and every damn chick in that pic was rocking a weave like it was natural as water lol (wish I could find the pic). That's where the problem lies, and brothas (and some sistas) with their third eye open are starting to speak on it.

I'm not putting words in anyone's mouth, but you're constantly going at women for disliking kinky hair when it's both sexes. And it's not racism for a black person to make fun of their own hair texture.

Like I said in my previous post, you wanna talk about self hate, racism and all that bullshyt. Make the methods more accessible to be taught, not just in major black areas, everywhere. Like I've said, it's more ignorance than hate. I stand by that.

Just stopppppppppppppppp it regarding black women not knowing how to take care of their hair. It's such bologna. One quick google search or youtube search can solve that problem. Then ur theory is voided.

You didn't use the word oppression when you replied to me and you went on to tell me about some shyt your sisters told you about black women and omitted the men..
Ive used the word opression throughout this whole thread so cut the crap lol.

I told you that there are even black women who dias other black women for showing their natural hair because you denied it. I not once denied that black men dont diss nappy hair so cut that crap where you try to put words in my mouth lol.

I never had a problem with it or even noticed it growing up, many women in my own family were hair stylists back when glue in tracks were really popular, but it just hit me one day and I started really seeing things as they really were and it really disturbed me, I started doing research and once I saw a youtube video of Indian women getting their heads shaved bald with a straight-razor, that was it for me, I knew something was wrong.

:whoa:

Why should I have to google search how to care for my hair when other women can go to school and learn it without any issue or run around?

Lmao. That's what the nikka suggested, I think that's foolish.

Ok? And I don't understand why there's an almost 40 page thread of men arguing with women about hair. That's the most pathetic shyt ever.
I dunno. All i know is that i hate the oppression of nappy hair.

Looks like you don't care about the oppression many black women go through thanks to people putting down their natural kinky hair.

Such a shame.

"Oppression"? :what: All I'm saying is, if you're a lifeguard trying to save multiple people, you don't waste your time struggling with the ones determined to sink. You go after those who make an effort to be saved, let the rest drown. Natural selection breh (dont eem ask me how :youngsabo:)

You can google without any issue or run around. See, like this.

How to Take Care of Black Girls' Hair: 12 Steps (with Pictures)

You gave a lame excuse.:usure:

The only lame thing here is your solution, my hair looks nothing like that woman's, nor is it the same length, why would we care for out hair the same way.

The are schools specifically built for hair care alone and they teach how to care for every hair type except for the many types of hair black women possess, so now we have to turn to YouTube? That's lame.
