But because Dems don't want to put millions of illegals in concentration camps and put kids in cages they're seen as weak on immigration. This country is fukking stupid. That seems to be a normal reaction to seeing kids locked in cages. I notice how easy its becoming to refer to illegal immigrants as if they're inhuman. And I think a lot of it just boils down to having someone to demonize even if you aren't in a part of the country that is all that impacted by illegal immigration. I'm not even all that big on immigration but can see that a lot of it is just misguided rage. I don't know. We had legislation for dealing with immigration and Repubs killed it. Repubs aren't serious about addressing immigration. Trump can deports millions of them tomorrow and he'll still need a boogeyman to rile up the base. They're aren't serious about dealing with the complexities of immigration. They aren't open to the idea that we can both have a stern immigration policy and treat human beings coming into our country with dignity and compassion. And its because the whole point is to demonize and dehumanize. That's why I can't take Repubs serious on immigration. They've taken what should a boring issue addressed with boring and complex solutions and turned it into a whole political talking point.

I read comments from their platforms.... they're #1 concerns are immigration and then inflation.
They feel trump will stop non Mexicans from entering.... because they still claim Mexicans are just hard workers but the rest are just lazy.

As for the Dems maybe its less about pandering and more about showing compassion for desperate human beings. The problem is that we've allowed Republicans to set the narrative on this (like so many other issues). Instead of it being an issue that should be addressed in a bipartisan way with the help of experts they have politicized it to the point that nothing will ever get done to address it.
Black women by far have the highest unfortunately.

In raw numbers... the actually have the highest number of abortions. But there's so many of them their percentages are lower.
B W and L women all represent around 30% each. But because there are fewer black women, we get called out as the face of abortion.
Also, nobody seems to care that cacs fave pet Asian/Chinese have way more abortions than Americans or that our zillion dollars that goes to iz real can be used foe their state funded Healthcare including abortions
