There's also classism (most latino immigrant waves started with the well off first, who had the most to lose when Fidel/Trujillo/Ortega/Noriega/Chavez took over. They were then followed by the middle class when the economies crashed- Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, etc. And then what we're seeing now, the poor trying to survive and the criminals looking for the next lick). So the ones that had/have means and arrived back in the day now look down on the recent arrivals as low class criminals who didn't "do it the right way" like they did. When they hear build the wall and mass deportations, they agree because they're the "good ones" who vote repug. Chicanos in Texas and Cali also look down on the Mexican arrivals for the same reason (I got mine, I was born here, so fukk you).
Cubans are the most hypocritical. They got preferential front of the line treatment for decades.
