Black actor claims people loved a black led Star Trek show 30s years ago. Those same fans are now called toxic because of woke politics/DEI

Aliens can be anything, everything, and everywhere but they can't be black.......that's too impossible to even imagine for them apparently.......white women fukking monsters is acceptable and encouraged.........white dudes fukking women in ever color of the color spectrum but it is a step too far a black person exists in space

Show also got tons of flack back in day for having the first interracial kiss on camera, when kirk kissed ohura.

Fun fact: Gene Rodenberry was smashing Nichelle Nichols, while also cheating on his first wife with Majel Barrett, who would become his second wife.

Nichols broke it off because she didn't want to be a side chick to a side chick.

:dahell: :stopitslime: :stopitslime: :stopitslime: :stopitslime: Clifton is that dope trying to do a Thomas Sowell one-man play. Of COURSE he fukking up.

White people HATED that shyt back then. Not all, but enough. Gene Roddenberry stayed on folks necks trying new things. The Uhura and Kirk kiss was some shyt that could have gotten folks banned.

Inna minute im gonna start sounding like the Coli militants of the mid 2010s cause this is some #newblack shyt. What happened to John Boyega with Star Wars was old news for black people in Star Trek.

Bingo.

Avery is EASILY a top 5 Star Trek talent and on par with Patrick Stewart. And considering that DS9 put the franchise on its back after TNG and while Voyager was finding its footing — you’d think Avery would get the respect he earned. Look at Janeway; people have a love/hate relationship with her because she was insufferable at times but you NEVER felt that way with Sisko.

Avery literally was the glue on a show that wasn’t about a starship getting into constant fųckery, have a bad bītch on the senior staff like Deanna Troi / Seven of Nine, a Vulcan with elite abilities OR having to constantly lean on the Enterprise cache as a cushion. Motherfucķing Sisko had every damn species in the quadrant pulling up to DS9 daily and handled it like a boss.

Meanwhile after DS9 when they did try to dig back into the Enterprise lore for views, it was a mess and had Scott Bakula looking goofy. And of course they fumbled it again with Discovery trying the same old Enterprise related tropes.

So ironic now that you have Lower Decks being a hit show with TWO black females leading the way despite it being a cartoon.

This is like people saying that gamers weren't racist in the past when it came to grand theft auto because they liked cj, when in reality before the game even came out people were trying to boycott san andreas before it even came out because cj was a black character. Some people love to live in a fantasy world where they think shyt wasn't incredibly racist 20 years ago

I've said it few times, but being on GameFAQs when San Andreas was announced was my first time as a kid seeing such hatred and vitrol spewed online.

I was just excited to play as a Black character.
