how many times are they going to re-tell all of these stories that have been told hundreds of times over the last twenty years?

is this series worth watching? or is it just another attempt at a rating pop luring in the casuals?

I hear you, these stories have been told before, but A&E brings a much higher level of production value

This stuff is much more polished than a youtube shoot interview from 2009

Darkside of the Ring is a game changer and covering stuff thats never been told in long form

The old school wrestling content market is oversaturated at this point especially given podcasts and DIY etc. but as a golden era guy i dont mind it, and something like an AE show rises to the top for me

they portrayed Macho Man like a simp :mjcry:

I wouldn't say a simp... a simp is somebody in love with a woman who don't give a fukk and ain't with him... this made him seem like he was more of a mentally abusive/controlling type to the women he was with. Far as the possessive thing, it's partially understandable given that he had his women around all these other dudes, some of whom I'm sure were probably checkin' em out. But that's also the bad side of havin' your wife or girl on the job. These other MFs weren't bringin' their wives around 300 days a year, they knew what was up. But in his situation, where she's also a co-worker. shyt probably went too far. :ld:

Conrad Thompson straight up called Macho doc a “hit piece”. He was saying WWE just brought up all the bad stuff about Macho and tha Austin n Piper’s was nothing but positive.
You can't tell Macho's story without Elizabeth so that aspect was inevitable, but the Gorgeous George stuff felt forced. Had that hillbilly using up a ton of screen time to basically call him a possessive stalker and junkie :francis:

You can't do that while never referencing any of Austin's scuffles with Debra or Tessa.
