Lmao @ randy was consider small...it never crossed my mind because randy was thick

Compared to most of the roster at the time he debuted there...

You had Hogan, Andre, Big John Studd, Bundy, Hillbilly Jim, JYD, Paul Orndorff, Hercules, Sheik, Volkoff, Patera, Tony Atlas, Beefcake, Don Muraco, Adrian Adonis... the smallest guys they had on the roster were maybe Steamboat, Piper, Santana, Bret Hart, and Dynamite Kid. Savage was definitely on the lower end.

:mjlol: At hogan thinking Randy and Ricky weren’t trying to upstage his match

nikkas had 160 steps quizzing each other :deadmanny:

:russ: I was so glad they cut right to Steamboat saying that was definitely their intention... reminded me of watchin' Rick James/Charlie Murphy :mjlol: "Charlie Murphy ain't never kicked my ass"... "kicked the shyt outta him!"

Hogan was up to his usual fukkery here, he can't stand to put someone over without making sure to turn it into something putting himself over. And granted, he obviously played a big part in that era and Savage's story during that time but for two weeks in a row now (he also did it on the Piper episode), he's made sure to spin the story into him being the good guy and the smartest man in the room. That Warrior episode is gonna be a doozy.

how many times are they going to re-tell all of these stories that have been told hundreds of times over the last twenty years?

is this series worth watching? or is it just another attempt at a rating pop luring in the casuals?

Right. Between podcasts, Darkside of the Ring and the WWE docs Theres really not much else to cover. This was probably done to recapture the old school base

Documentaries like this one help me answer the “why do I watch this shyt” question. AE is knocking these out of the park

Us “hardcores” aren’t the target market for these as we are aware of most of the content in them. The nostalgia is well worth watching retelling of these stories

Conrad and Bischoff (who was interviewed for this as was his wife) commented on twitter that they felt like this was a burial of savage and way harsh

I dont know if I saw it that way but it was a lot more tougher on Randy than the WWE 2014 documentary that complimented his charity work, this went into his personal stuff and insecurity and they pretty much said he was abusive to Gourgeous George without saying it.

Some were saying it was consistent with the first 2 and especially Austin's which didnt cover the personal stuff with Debra at all

I think part of the issue is this was shot by a different director and producer than the others. Billy Corben who did Cocaine Cowboys and The U produced this and Jason Heir (Last Dance, Andre doc) did Austin. I know Corben likes to explore darker/uncomfy stuff matter of factly like its no big deal though and wont change the image so maybe that was it.

Not sure if its because WWE wanted it that way, I mean like I said the 2014 doc was more complimentary (but then again the Hall of Fame was looming so)
