I'm hoping the black chick is a double agent planted there by Axe to fukk with Taylor.

Taylor has no redeeming qualities besides her high intelligence. She talks like a robot. She's cold, impersonal, unattractive. Just weird that that black chick would fall for her so fast. But the show is guilty of unrealistic writing.

This is a lost show. Its direction is gone and its now a disaster.

first 2 seasons of the show were well written and even though the third was uneven a bit more, it still managed to be more good than bad. But I just knew when Axe vs Chuck was ended, the show wouldn't be able to create something as strong as that feud and they would fall into the same hole all other Showtime shows fall in. I mean all these references and now they're just blatantly copying scenes from movies into the show dialogue sounding like message board posts nobody on the show ever taking a true L bout to drop this when the season ends for good

also, the golden era of television has really ended...we ain't never seeing quality shows like the Wire, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, or Mad Men again

off topic - but is The Deuce any good?? been hearing mixed reviews about it.

It’s very good. If you like David Simon shyt (Wire, Treme), you’ll probably like the Deuce. It’s got great atmosphere (grimey 70s NYC) and great acting.

I don’t know how you feel about gratuitous sex and nudity, but it’s an important part of the show, given the topic. Some might find it off putting though

It’s still entertaining even tho i can’t get invested in the storylines. I hate all these cacs.

I hate Wendy with a passion tho. She’s never taken a real L. I want her to lose her medical license but I already know they’re gonna find a way to save her. I also wish Axe would take a real L. Him and his gf are annoying.

I don’t mind Chuck cuz he’s always getting sonned.

I hope Sacker makes it out of this in decent standing

The Deuce is dope. They make NY a character in it the same way Baltimore is in The Wire. The atmosphere is really on point.

Thanks! The Wire was good- watched it when it first came out. I saw Boardwalk Empire (if you’re familiar with that) not too many shows that I don’t like on HBO; never got into Treme tho. Deuce seems like it’s worth checking out.

This is such a concise summary .. all of this is facts. Not one redeemable character and I want to see them all get the ax

Chuck is a walking L that everybody uses for their disposal so he’s a non factor in the scheme of things but the rest - nothing but a clash of caciness and egos.
