As long as Axe has Wendy, he'll always have Chuck by the balls. :patrice:

They always push the loyalty vs duty theme on this show. It will be interesting to see who remains loyal to whom.

Also, how does this battle with Axe help with Rhoades if they leak he and his backers were behind moving that casino?:jbhmm:

Axe cannot win. it's the epiphany of Wall Street austerity.
Axe will end dead brok or in jail.
Chuck is the US Political systems vs the Wall street dirty money.
Even Goldman Sachs cannot endure seeing Axe wining because it would crush their image.

Great episode! Showed the tension between old money vs. new money very well. The writers have been smart not making Axe's "outsider" and "self made man" angle overbearing or heavy handed, but instead they have been rather subtle with it.

Another great aspect of that scene was how Axe was all alone. Once new money takes on old money, you see how old money comes and sticks together to make sure the system doesn't fall apart. Everything with them is "scratch my back and I'll scratch yours without specifically saying it, which is why Chuck's father might get got later on as he seems to be moving more boldly. You also see for as much money as Axe may have, he'll never have their influence and it ultimately makes him dispensable which adds to him starting to "crack" as Chuck put it.

Great episode, and thus far, great season :ohlawd:

Yup, they set the groundwork for that scene early on during the Sports Franchise story arc. :banderas:

Unless Chuck decides to completely "dispose" of Wendy as she would be simply guilty by association. From what I've seen, Chuck has well prepared his end game while Axe is losing focus of the bigger picture.
