This will seem like a silly question but, what is Axe's net worth? Of course he's a billionaire but it looks like he was sweating real hard over possibly losing $500 million. I get that losing that amount of money is nothing to sneeze at, but I'm thinking it wouldn't take long for him to cover that loss. Or could it be the fact it would make him look weak if he didn't go for the jugular?

I assume he's sitting on Ray Dalio money, so money is completely immaterial to him. It's more about the damage a loss that big could do to his firm's reputation. At this point with him, it's not about money. It's about not losing and looking like a fool.

Great episode! Showed the tension between old money vs. new money very well. The writers have been smart not making Axe's "outsider" and "self made man" angle overbearing or heavy handed, but instead they have been rather subtle with it.
