I went to PWI. I kick myself everyday for not going to a HBCU. I don't give a fukk about the "real" because the real world is segregated. I live in a so-called diverse area but black people's reasoning for shunning HBCU's is they don't prepare you for the real world work experience of being around other races. That's simply a bold faced lie. Even on PWI most of the black people congregate together. So even under the illusion of diversity, self-segregation is practiced so what difference does it make. Most neighborhoods are segregated. Unless you are socially retarded, working and dealing with other races isn't that difficult. It's not something that requires 4 years of study. It's just another excused used to be on that My kids are going to HBCU's

I try my best to go to eat at black owned food spots. West indie joints, but it's hard man. I just want to practice group economics as much as possible. Always tip well no matter the service. My barber Just trying to get enough money to get to an Island or somewhere in Africa.

I'm saying Van Jones really intrigued me as a black environmentalist and his work out in Oakland. I've read both his books "Rebuild the Dream" and "Green Collar Economy". Brother is really sharp and progressive. But I can't lie and not say I wasn't disappointed in his choice of spouse. It just seems all stereotypical. Still a fan though.

When he became the spokesperson of blackness for liberal networks I was on that because dude comes off like a "post racial" Donald Glover type brother who drink the kool-aid of white liberals. Me too. I'm shocked Van made it through in the Green movement. It's lily white. I've been out to some events in my area and it's ..Van used it as springboard though. He talked about it was just part of the process. The "Green" movement has kind of died down due to the economy. I've been up to Seattle and other "progressive" areas and I've heard the same kind of passiveness when topics specifically pertaining to AA's come up. shyt like that kills my spirit breh. I don't like being someones punching bag and I damn sure don't like having my self-respect as a black man poked at or dismissed. It's tough man.
