Not on the level of the chronic. Nuthin But a G thang peaked at number 2 on the billboard hot 100 which was unheard of for hardcore rap.

OK, then why did the Source magazine include this album in a Top 10 Hip Hop albums of 1998. Chris Rock created a 25 Greatest Hip Hop albums of all time list and it made his list.

Why would they need a Lauryn Hill album for representation on a list that already featured albums from Kim, Missy, Cardi, Latifah, and Nicki Minaj?

Its a list based on opinions. There's people in here arguing that Chronic isn't Top 2. What are they doing? Nobody's ever going to agree on the same Top 10 and certainly not the same 100. There are a lot of people who would disagree that Illmatic is the GOAT Hip Hop album for entirely different reasons.

That shyt was not in any man's CD jacket that I knew. I never bought it.
