If he knows the game so well, why isn't he in someone's front office?

i think simmons is freaking awesome. says whats on his mind. glad they got rid of broussard and barry. simmons has crazy knowledge on the sport. he's like a breath of fresh air

I think he just rose his way up from beign a writer to a, podcast personality, to eventually a TV guy.

Really no different than alot of other guys these days.

Anyone saying Bill Simmons doesn't possess more basketball knowledge than the every day fan is just plain wrong. And I don't even like seeing dude on tv (though I listen to his podcast).

My problem with him is that he talks out of his ass 70% of the time, and reaches for jokes. I'd rather read his columns than see him.
