Chris paul shouldn't like playing with blake griffin or deandre jordan

Both have no post moves at all and rely on 100% athletisicm. David west has better moves than griffin

I actually wouldn't mind the Clippers hiring D'Antoni, and let him run the run and gun system with CP3 and Blake. :lawd: Now that Clipps team would be fun as hell, and they got shooting with Crawford, Butler, etc. :ehh: Do it Elgin Baylor. Or Sterling :ld:

This is probably gonna come off as a diss to Jordan and Griffin, but it's as if they do better when they're not thinking and just reacting. When play slows down they actually have to run plays and they're either unaware or incapable of what they need to do (maybe that's also an indictment on VDN as well, but it doesn't look good).

No maybe to it, it's like Del Negro is TRYING to be the worst coach in the league. And if you're insinuating that Jordan and Griffin have low level mental games, then you're absolutely right (DJ moreso than Blake obviously, even though DJ seems to have developed a post game over the summer). But better coaching should be able to solve that.

Don't expect any great improvements from Blake and Jordan on the mental side of the game until they get a real coach.

Blake has a decent post gm. He's being misused by Vinny. And.he's the best passing big in the league. A real coach wohld take advantage of that. :childplease: @ them just now getting Blake.and.DJ a shooting coach.

They would have beaten the Spurs last year playing a faster tempo?

They wouldn't have beaten the Thunder or even the Lakers either, so even having a better record probably wouldn't have helped.
They stretch that Spurs series to at least six games with a higher tempo (even with the niggling injuries), that's how they restrained Paul with all the defensive looks they threw at him. Westbrook was more effective against the Spurs, because although he didn't always make the right decisions, he constantly pushed the pace. The tempo threw the Spurs out of sync and took away their ability to control the game.

Relax, they finally all had their first training camp and full preseason together.. everything is fine. they were running like crazy in the preseason. DJ has improved ten fold in the paint and Blake's mid range jumper is looking better and better. Paul looks excellent.

-what does help Blake and DJ get off to good starts is a few easy buckets here and there which mostly comes off fast breaks and lobs. they didn't get a lot of these last year but I feel they'll get plenty this season.

Simmons has a point when he says they didn't mesh that well. They added a top 2 point guard, of course they were gonna get better but the Memphis matchup, albeit a very exciting series, had no business going to 7 games with how good we expected the Clippers to be. Then they run into the Spurs who gave them the Mr. Clean sweep.

Chris Paul will never not be a great addition to any team, but something about the Clippers still got me like :beli:

:what: Most people picked the Grizz to win that series.
