I don't see how u can use individual stats. personally, I can't separate a baller from the team, even in individual sports cause they still have a team. if Jordan doesn't have the right pieces, he's simply not the greatest.
I believe things out of the control of the individual contribute to them being the greatest.
I don't have popular opinions. like I don't put an asterisk on kd's rings. ppl who never pushed their bodies to the limit don't appreciate what players go thru playing into June.
if u come away from that as a champion, I respect it. I can now only compare u to other champions. kd cannot lead a team by himself, and he also cannot beat bron without doing what he did up to this point in his career. I think this is clear as day and I respect kd for being honest with himself.
I never forget when a nikka beats me in a game of hoops. if there's a gap in skill or teams, I acknowledge that. it doesn't have to be that way forever, but deal with the moment.
something such as egos being put aside and ppl teaming up could have put a dent in MJ's legacy, but it didn't.
ppl learned from Jordan's era, and the future generation adjusted. can't blame Jordan because greatness didn't adjust with this new mindset.
why didn't reggie go to the Knicks? other ppl are to blame as to why one person ends up being the greatest.
kd made a decision to make sure bron couldn't get close to Jordan. I understand why ppl hate him for it, but again, I respect him for doing what he felt he had to do.
to this day, kd's name would be closer to Melo's if he didn't get ringed up.
