My church has a lot of old folks in it, and there was an emergency meeting a few years ago after one of the kids from the church went away to college and caught a life sentence for taking part of the torture and murder of some kid out in Camden. All the old folks were doing their usual complaining about the kids and how they treat school and I had enough of that shyt and told them all off saying "When yall went to school, yall had teachers that EXPECTED you guys to do well. Yall left me and these kids at the hands of people who don't expect anything from them in the name of integration. So look in the mirror."

They all shut the fukk up.

I despise those older heads for that.

They gave up the social capital they acquired amongst themselves, cultivating their own business and schools only to give it up in the name of "progress" and making our generation and future generations of blacks more at the behest of others.

Yeah, I remember the peace treaty, I mention it on the regular because at the time it was fire on sight and bang over colors. It shows people we do live by a code and we do have honor, my neighborhood is messed up but it was the only I knew.

We can't ignore our very dysfunction value system any longer, its tough because we are fighting the enemy within. We really need to start with these schools, and focus on the younger generation.

I see these young mothers trying to get their act together during their child's most impressionable years. And for most its a losing battle.
