As an Irish Catholic, the big problem all the Protestant/Lutheran/Evangelical Christians have with Catholicism is the Pope/Vatican element almost exclusively.

Well, a kid's mere nature makes them easily influenced. But you rather focus on rap music than broken homes. In what world does this even make sense.

These kids are trying to figure things out on their own. Teach a kid self-control, discipline, and respect and that kid will be able to at least control his destiny.

Cos is attacking the general apathy I see men have towards women, parents have towards their kids, and citizens have towards their fellow citizens. The foolishness that thrive in our neighborhood, would not be tolerated in other places.

At this point, people should be tired.

Kids cant control anything until they turn 18.They can run away from home and the ystill will have to go back to their abusive homes. They grow up in these broken homes etc and wont be able to escape unless DYFS comes thru and put them in foster homes or these kids become 18 go into the military,move out,go to college.They wont be able to escape anything unless THEY make the move.Nobody can help what situation they are born into.

My church has a lot of old folks in it, and there was an emergency meeting a few years ago after one of the kids from the church went away to college and caught a life sentence for taking part of the torture and murder of some kid out in Camden. All the old folks were doing their usual complaining about the kids and how they treat school and I had enough of that shyt and told them all off saying "When yall went to school, yall had teachers that EXPECTED you guys to do well. Yall left me and these kids at the hands of people who don't expect anything from them in the name of integration. So look in the mirror."

They all shut the fukk up.

I despise those older heads for that.

They gave up the social capital they acquired amongst themselves, cultivating their own business and schools only to give it up in the name of "progress" and making our generation and future generations of blacks more at the behest of others.

The ones I interacted with in college really didn't like the veneration of Mary. They are under the assumption that Catholics pray directly to saints and Mary instead of God. So they consider Catholics ancestor worshippers basically. They don't like the pope for sure and don't understand the position but Mary and the communion of saints was a big sticking point.

All I know, if a kid had a stable household, it would make all the difference in the world.

Most of these young kids are left unsupervised, so when they become 14 years old they are tearing up their block, because they never developed self-control, discipline, and respect. By time a kid hits his teens, the damage is probably already done.

Cosby is out of touch, so no need to point out that those are the exceptions, not the rule.

Either-or, if citizens became a nuisance towards those thugs, they are not gonna start shooting at them. For example, when black folks mobilized in Chicago this year, the gang violence dropped. We might be portrayed as animals on MTV, but Cos visions of Ghandi is not that impossible.
