It wasn't he was guilty, he just knows people think differently and would see him differently based on what he did in a different era, which wasn't seen as bad during that time. It's pretty much the same as bashing Washington and Lincoln for owning slaves. We look past it as they came up in a different culture. And that's the race element....as we apply new morality as a country to Cosby, but not to Washington and Lincoln!
