nah.

junior mafia album dropped before some of those names, but dudes were already around dropping verses. meaning that they weren't following behind biggie's idea to have proteges.

some of these proteges were out already before biggie himself was even rapping.

partners would mean that biggie was a co-owner, getting an equal cut to lance.
