Thats cause he was hungry and unsigned on Krit Wuz Here, that was technically his debut album no matter how many nikkas wanna call it a mixtape.

This is how I look at it, Krit is dropping his 4th album. His Discog 4 albums deep into his career is some of best music any artist has had in their catalog at this point in their career.

Thing is people think nowadays that a new artist should save their best material for their retail debut, when the truth is they can't really afford that luxury. You gotta drop your best material right now for you to even have a chance to get to a retail release. The artist can worry about the retail if and when that time ever comes.

Damn, Praying Man sounds soooo much better on the grouprip...that bass is just like :wow:. This album is getting better with each listen. 8.5 out of 10 for me.

This was kind of a disappointing debut album. It's no surprise considering that KRIT's most successful single has been Country shyt (Remix) that a lot of album sounds like that. Country shyt is a good song, but I prefer the humble, introspective KRIT with the great (unlicensed) soulful samples. Count me as another listener who found the hooks grating. I probably rated it a 7.5/10.

I'd still buy the CD again, if only to reward KRIT for the terrific free mixtapes that preceded this album.

This lacking the :krs: moments of his earlier work. I can really say I wasn't BLOWN AWAY with any of these songs. This is the same guy who made Hometown Hero,Rotation,Temptation,Good Enough,Kings Blues,Dreamin,Time Machine etc...the music is in the same lane but it has no spark to it and just feels off for some reason. So we ended up with a diet version the shyt he did before this.

For every "dope" song on here, there is another song on his previous tapes that execute the same sound only 10x better.

Time Machine>Pull Up *whip song*
Country shyt>I Got This *hype club track*
Players Ballad>Porchlight *for the bytches*
Temptation>What U Mean *strip club song*
The Vent>Any of the slow introspective joints on here

He gave away to many classics, but it's probably more of the label not wantin to clear samples than anything.

what its lacking is the samples, they sucked the soul out of this album. It is not touching any of the fist three... and they are all legit albums btw, far from mixtapes.

lol @ Krit stans calling his mixtapes albums.
I been telling you for the longest how disgusting fans of "social conscious" rappers are.

Then Jeezy and Wayne has more classics than Jay-z and Nas
Cause they've both got 3 classic mixtapes or more + classic albums.

Wayne doesn't have classic mixtapes of all orginal material unless you're talkin about C3 Sessions. Jeezy dont have any classic mixtapes besides Trap Or Die and that's not original material.

All original lyrics, hooks, beats,no dj=how is not a FREE album?
