thanks bro
big difference between the web and group rip. thanks
It's ppl saying this isn't that good? shyt is flames straight up and down. I swear some ppl need to get their ears checked. We got this and Curren$y, dropping on the same day, and they should both be universally recognized as crack music.
I just can't understand how someone could love KWH and R4 and say they're not feeling this.
Admittidely, this probably isn't quite as good but it's not THAT far off. If you loved K.R.I.T.'s sound then I don't get why you'd think this was a letdown. This isn't one of those situations where an artist drops banging mixtapes then completely switches their sound up for the major label album (I'm looking at YOU, Gucci).
This is that Dungeon Fam throwback, soulful smooth ass riding music that made us all K.R.I.T. fans in the first place. It might maybe lack something like Southern shyt or R4 Theme, but this is pretty much the album I expected (and wanted) from K.R.I.T.
I do think he will have to evolve his sound after this as his music will get quite stagnant if he keeps channeling early Outkast and UGK. But to me this album caps off his brilliant run of music and I'm exited to see where he takes his music in the future.
This lacking the moments of his earlier work. I can really say I wasn't BLOWN AWAY with any of these songs. This is the same guy who made Hometown Hero,Rotation,Temptation,Good Enough,Kings Blues,Dreamin,Time Machine etc...the music is in the same lane but it has no spark to it and just feels off for some reason. So we ended up with a diet version the shyt he did before this.
For every "dope" song on here, there is another song on his previous tapes that execute the same sound only 10x better.
Time Machine>Pull Up *whip song*
Country shyt>I Got This *hype club track*
Players Ballad>Porchlight *for the bytches*
Temptation>What U Mean *strip club song*
The Vent>Any of the slow introspective joints on here
He gave away to many classics, but it's probably more of the label not wantin to clear samples than anything.
That's one thing about LFTU; it doesn't feel like a debut album. It's not the sound of an up and coming hungry artist going hard on their first album.
