It’s true that they’re progressively being torn down and flipped into mixed income housing but saying there’s “barely any left” in San Francisco is not accurate either though. Robert Pitts, Westside Courts, the Ping Yuens, Sunnydale, Double Rock, Potrero Hill, Oakdale & Harbor Rd are all still standing pretty much unchanged from when they were built. They’ve remodeled a lot of the Fillmore projects (the Chop, EddyRock, 3 stories) and they recently remodeled Alemany, the only ones they actually tore down outright are West Point, North Beach Place and the mission district projects (Army Street and the VGs). Sunnydale and PH are slated for demolition in the next 3 years and that will be by far the biggest shakeup to date when it happens.

Crazy shyt is there’s at least 10 other projects I ain’t even name that are also still standing (Towerside, Buchanan Courts, KO, 200 Randolph, Diamond Heights, Holly Courts, etc. etc.) That’s also not including the dozens and dozens of SROs that house the poorest of the poor and a disproportionate amount of homeless & drug addicts.
