Judge won't release Black Mafia Family kingpin Demetrius Flenory

Black Mafia Family leader 'Big Meech' gets big no in bid to leave prison

Detroit — A federal judge Tuesday rejected a request from convicted Black Mafia Family cocaine kingpin Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory to leave federal prison 11 years early amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

The request for compassionate release from a federal prison in Oregon is premature, U.S. District Judge David Lawson wrote, because federal officials have not responded to a separate request based on Flenory's health problems.

The 51-year-old native of southwest Detroit headed the Black Mafia Family drug ring with brother Terry Flenory. The national drug organization reaped $270 million in profits, employed more than 500 people and distributed thousands of kilograms of cocaine. The drug ring operated in cities in 11 states, including Detroit, Atlanta, Miami, St. Louis, Los Angeles and Birmingham, Alabama.

The Atlanta hub alone distributed 2,500 kilos each month.

The Flenory brothers were sentenced to 30 years in federal prison in 2008. Terry Flenory was scheduled to be released Tuesday as part of a broader effort by officials to stem the spread of a virus that, according to federal prison data, has killed at least 40 inmates and infected more than 2,300 prisoners and staffers.

U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents toppled the cocaine empire in 2005 by arresting the brothers along with more than 100 co-conspirators. Investigators seized $21 million worth of assets, including cash; jewelry; 13 homes in Metro Detroit, Georgia and Los Angeles; and three dozen vehicles, including a Lincoln limousine.

Demetrius Flenory laundered money through his rap label and promotions business, BMF Entertainment, and co-owned JUICE Magazine. BMF Entertainment takes credit for helping launch the career of the rapper Jeezy.

Flenory proposed living with relatives either in Florida or Michigan.

Prosecutors opposed releasing Demetrius Flenory, saying he did not deserve the same treatment as Terry Flenory.

Demetrius Flenory has a checkered disciplinary record. He has spent time in solitary confinement, illegally possessed a cell phone and a small piece of a razor blade while in prison and has used intoxicants, according to court records.

Demetrius Flenory argued he is susceptible to COVID-19 due to his age and health problems, including hypertension and heart trouble.

It depends on their situation. They knew the feds were watching they had time to get on the off ramp. They were getting tens of millions of dollars. The whole city ate off them. I knew a Dominican chick who fukked with some of their little mans. If they saw a couple hundred million all together and kept say a couple million that was invested that's a decent chunk of change.

It kinda depended on their background if they literally came from nothing and managed to save a couple million, That's better than not ever having nothing.

Look at Jay's connect Calvin Klein Klein was a poor Haitian immigrant he was wilding before he got the bag, Evem though his low key extortion attempt on Jigga didn't work he's not broke. Can't say the same for DeHaven.

Haitian Jack is another cat who's eating good despite being deported.
No amount of money is worth 12 years in federal prison. :francis:

50 Cent Demands Money From BMF Co-Founder Southwest T After Prison Release
2 minutes
Terry "Southwest T" Flenory was released from prison this week and 50 Cent is already giving him a deadline to pay up.
50 Cent has been working on a television show about BMF, short for Black Mafia Family, for the last few years. A major development was made in the story of the notorious drug trafficking organization this week when it was revealed that Terry "Southwest T" Flenory, one of the co-founders of BMF and Big Meech's brother, was released from prison due to COVID-19 concerns. It only took a few hours but Fif is already requesting money from Flenory, giving him a deadline on social media.

Posting a photo of Southwest T behind bars on Instagram, 50 Cent kindly requested he get paid before next week, encouraging Flenory to take his time in getting to the bank.

"@bmfboss_swt_263 is out, take your time getting to the Bank, No hurry just have what you owe by Monday," said Fiddy. "The fukk you mean you ain’t got the money. you better get it,before he start looking at this shyt a little different," he added in a second post.

Southwest T was released from prison today. He was well-known for overseeing Black Mafia Family's operations in California. His brother, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, is also fighting for his own release from prison.

Do you think they should pay 50 Cent?

Who wrote that article?

50 is clearly calling out everyone who owe T some money gotta come up with the cash. Not 50 DEMANDING money from him.

50 hyping up T, for IG likes. He will be on the strictest level of federal probation and likely home confinement, he's like a 50 something year old man, who is overweight, and never known as a tough guy. He was a blowhard and something of a motivational speaker from the transcripts I read, even some hilarious part where one of T's boys got on the phone to a runner, and was impersonating T, like a preacher

"listen playa, this is in the lords hand" or some shyt shyt like that
